El Torito Grill! I love good mexican food and I love brunch so the next step for a department lunch function means El Torito Grill brunch. I was very skeptical for me Mexican food is a great lunch and dinner food. I didn’t think this place could live up to the $22 price range. That is in the Pala Buffet and Korean BBQ price range, only both of those are cheaper. I know there is unlimited champagne and mimosas but are you hear to drink cheap booze or eat? That's what I thought. Rate the food.
Service: Excellente! We had a group of 11 people in the being we didn't get any love but then the mimosa came endlessly. We had to say no many times after a while. My glass was never empty. It's like TJ and Cancun all over again.
Location: Decent location I hate paying for parking but it was free on Sunday. I parked in the wrong structure so it was a bit of a walk.
Size: Huge! That's what she said. The buffet area was small but the sitting area was large.
Food: Cook to order omelet was the best item. Not the best omelet ever but good. -The Tacos were bomb and the salsa also deliciouso. -The hot food area was kinda meh and the ribs were burnt. -I waited forever for waffles. They ran out and I waited a good 15 plus or more for waffles. My party was done eating before I returned. I should have just gotten dessert. -Seafood was a few random bowls. I didn't have space to try it.
Drinks: Horchata was good. Not too much cinnamon. -Mimosas were okay but MANN! The champagne was cheap and extra dry. I had a horrible headache a few hours later. I was very hydrated with water and didn't over do the booze but man it felt like college budge booze.
Next time if I do go again. I will for sure have more tacos, but 22 dollars for all you eat tacos and omelets I think not. Given my awesome manager treated our group, it was a fun time but I don't think I would return.
I half recommend this place. I have eating too many buffets and great Mexican food that I might be a tad picky. I think the average Jorge or Joe would like this place. If you are a person with some standards you probably will not like this place. I could be way off but this place was popping. So packet! It...

I visited SOL Mexican Restaurant with friends to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday night. Despite the restaurant being 90% empty, we encountered numerous issues that left us thoroughly disappointed.
Initially, everything seemed fine, but problems started as soon as we ordered our food. Several dishes arrived cold, with incorrect temperatures. To make matters worse, our drinks were mixed up, and the server brought random drinks to our table. Even after correcting the mistake, she placed the drinks on the wrong table.
The server's behavior was also alarming. At one point, she kicked the door open with her foot, which scared us and left us questioning her professionalism.
One friend ordered a side of sweet potato chips, expecting them to be crunchy. However, they arrived wet and not crunchy at all. When we questioned the server about this, she initially said their fries were supposed to be crunchy, but then changed her story and claimed they were meant to be moist.
Additionally, the food and drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Two salads came in large, uncut pieces, contrary to the smaller pieces shown in photos on Yelp and Google Maps. It looked like the salad was just taken from a grocery store and placed on our plates without any preparation.
We also had a check-in offer on Yelp for a free appetizer, but it was never included in our receipt. Moreover, they promised to validate our parking, but when we reached the parking gate, we were asked to pay for the parking.
Our check number was 7929, served by Maureen on June 29, 2024.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. The server provided zero service, and the food was mediocre at best. We will not be returning to SOL...
Read moreIt's been several months since I ate here last and the last time I ate here was actually for a to go order and I still recall that to go order hit the spot compared to my experience over the weekend when I brought my mom to the restaurant for an early dinner.
I recommended to her the chicken quesidlla and oh my did they change the recipe? It was a soggy mess and maybe they coat the top with a sauce to try to hide that they are now using shredded chicken in the quesidlla? Common now even taco bell uses grilled chicken and previously I have ordered this and it did have grilled chicken (see picture of this disgusting quesidilla).
Furthermore I had a rib eye taco which was also so soggy the the blue corn stale tasting taco shell was falling apart. Furthermore the quality of the meat was definetely not how I remembered it in the past.
We also had the fajitas which were just average nothing to write home about and since there was no fixings (cheese or sour cream etc) I ordered a side of sour cream in which the waiter came back two times to our table and I had to remind him about it as our fajitas were getting cold.
Speaking of our waiter, also had to remind him 2 times to get us a straws as my mom needs a straw to drink her water and well it was before 5pm and the restaurant was not that busy so ya that was annoying.
We also had the coconut calamari as an appetizer which was pretty delicious and the chips and also may have been the best item on our plates (we love their chips).
It may be several months before I eat here again... Sol staff if you are reading this . Please put grilled chicken instead of shredded chicken back into your quesidilla's.. you're not saving money you are losing customers with...
