Decided to check this place out with a friend of mine a few weeks ago. Came in to a very good crowd and was greeted promptly by the hosts and were escorted to our table.
After we were seated our server Jess came over to greet us and we asked her to surprise us with two cocktails and she returned with a Mai Tai and Passion of the Spritz. She was on point with both drinks. Moving on to the food we started with the calamari and the goat cheese stuffed artichoke flowers which were absolutely delicious.
As we were enjoying our appetizers Natasha the manager came over to do a friendly greeting and asked us if everything was to our liking which we nodded our heads to because we had a mouthful. We asked if we could place our entree order through her to which replied "absolutely" and asked if we had any questions. Being our first time there I asked her what she recommended and she immediately recommended the Braised Short Ribs and the Shrimp Pho Burger. We went with her suggestion and after repeating the order back she left and placed our order for us.
Once our entrees arrived we were amazed by how delicious it was. The short ribs fell apart so perfectly and the shrimp pho burger tasted just like a shrimp pho which I absolutely love. Jess was really on top of everything and made sure we had a great first time experience. The manager Natasha stopped by a few times at our table to check on us to make sure we had everything we wanted and if we needed anything else. I was amazed by her high level of professionalism as she made her table visits.
We were too full to order dessert but next time we come in we will order the pistachio chocolate tiramisu. Overall we had a wonderful experience on our first visit to The Goldfinch and we will definitely go back again because the food and ambiance...
Read moreMy wife and I came here for a date night and we enjoyed this place. The ambiance is very nice, the patio has a nice street view and they do a decent job of keeping it warm.
Our waitress was attentive and checked in with us multiple times during our meal.
The drinks we got were good, nothing amazing but definitely decent drinks. They're a little spendy but you're paying for the nice atmosphere.
We got the spinach and artichoke dip as our appetizer and it was delicious. Highly recommend it.
For our entrees I got the prime rib and she got the rib eye. The horseradish dip that came with mine was too strong, needed to be cut with some cream or something because it was straight horseradish. My prime rib was actually very good, though I think it needs a bit more seasoning. Her rib eye was also very good, the butter they serve with it is a little much.
The only real issue we had was with the side dishes. They give you a small ice cream scoop of potatoes, and they're not very creamy. It reminded me of the old instant potatoes I used to make myself, and you get maybe 4 stalks of asparagus.
Aside from that, our meal was enjoyable and the drinks were good. We'll come back, though we'll probably try some different side...
Read moreI really enjoyed the atmosphere, vibe, the food and drinks here. Celebrating my bday and my sister in law birthday, we definitely had a feast. What really drew my attention to go here was that they had beets salad with goat cheese. Beets salad is one of the things that I always have to get when I see it on the menu.
What I ate: Tomahawk Ribeye | medium rare| comes with 2 choice of sides This was perfectly seasoned. No sauce needed but I always need Tabasco with my steak and sides
Mashed Potatoes | this tasted so good. I always enjoyed a good mash with steak.
Roasted Root Vegetables | comes with brussel sprouts, carrots, and onions
Added a 3rd sides because we couldn't decide which veggies we wanted. We definitely wanted both and no regrets, smart decision we did. Grilled Broccolini
Drinks: Passion Fruit Spritz | this is what I got and I love it. It is very refreshing. I definitely could have drank more than just one. That's My Jam | I just love the name of this drink. My sister in law got this one and she enjoyed it. She said it wasn't too sweet. I enjoyed it too. You're My Boy Blue This drink is a bit strong but yummy.
I'm looking forward to going back for brunch,...
