Yuchun — Restaurant in Irvine

I would not eat the cold noodles here unless you have low standards and really want to have korean cold noodle.

My dish looked NOTHING!!!! like the photos here. I got the fish and meat spicy cold noodle. There was hardly any broth, no fish, hardly any meat, and all the meat pieces were over 50% inedible. Not even edible like “I don’t prefer cartilage” they were bone you couldn’t eat.

Service was fast and friendly enough for a food court spot. Noodles were not undercooked and chewy. I came here on a hot day—perhaps they couldn’t handle the volume. I finished this dish feeling like I wasted my money for sure. I would’ve been better off getting the partially premade packets available in the grocery store and...

I was craving naengmyun, and was looking for a place to have a quick bite. Heard good things about yuchun although their review is very poor.

I thought their 물냉면 tasted great. Noodle is on the chewier side. The naengmyun soup tasted great. I liked that it untraditionally had a lot of sesame on it. Although this naengmyun is quite different from the one from Morangak, but I thought it was almost as good as the one from Morangak.

It just was sad that they didn't have any banchan. They do give you the warm broth if you ask for it. I also ordered kimchin mandu, which tasted average.

Overall, I'd go back because I don't know any other good naengmyun...

Super solid cold noodle spot inside a food court. The bowl was big and really hit the spot.

Mul Naengmyeon: Get This was so refreshing and flavorful. Broth was ice cold, the noodles had a nice chew, and the whole thing just felt super satisfying. Great combo of savory and tangy flavors. Perfect on a hot day or if you just want something light but still filling.

Nothing fancy here, just good food. It’s in a food court so don’t expect much on service or atmosphere, but for what it is, it’s great.
