Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Irving

I generally like this place but today I saw something happen in person that totally changed how I felt about this place unfortunately. Some customers and I saw one of the young male staff members constantly scratching themselves the entire time, didn't sanitize their hands, touched the glove boxes, was scratching themselves profusely & non-stop around open ice cream areas and the slab and serving ice cream to folks until at some point he stopped and walked back in. The person kept scratching so much of their skin and to the point where they were not conscious of themselves that they shouldn't even be serving people that day or should not have showed up to work. Another staff member took over to help other customers later. This left me feeling extremely uncomfortable that I didn't order anything and probably won't be coming here unless I was picking up a pre-packed ice cream and not from the open containers. The company really needs to monitor their staff and train them about health regulations especially very young employees and how serious things like these can cause serious health concerns. This can affect people so much and including the company itself if something does happen to the customers. So please train the staff and for them to be self aware not to show up to work if they don't feel well. I did let the other staff member who was serving after know to keep an eye out on that person to not be around open containers so that it doesn't turn out to be a major health and safety concern later...

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Amazing costumer service from Andy, Lily, and Pheonix they were so kind and helpful. They all welcomed us as family when we came through the door and Pheonix immediately began conversation asking how we were doing which we loved. Lily came over and asked if we would like to sample anything which obviously we would love to so we took her up on the offer. They all were waiting for us to make our decision without making us feel rushed or watched which was amazing. When we finally ordered, our requests were a little complex bu they did great and never complained or looked upset when we asked them to add one more thing. Andy asked if we wanted to catch our Ice Cream! It was so fun. Once they were done, they cleaned the stone, Lily immediately checked us out and the other 2 went to help the others. There needs to be an adult here on duty. These children are not mature enough to run this business and lack customer service SEVERELY. I placed a Doordash order and was alerted that it was ready for pick up. After arriving and having them completely ignore me, I spoke up and asked where I’m supposed to pick up my Doordash order, they were all so confused. Then they couldn’t find my receipt and acted like they didn’t want to make my order. Then the receipt was found on the floor underneath the counter. Then this kid tells me he’s about to make my order. Then 5 minutes later I look up and he’s making someone else’s order. Then another kid asks him what’s going on with my order and he just stands there confused as though he didn’t just tell me he was making my order.
