The food is edible, but I would not recommend this as a place to eat. The staff is really nice, the place was clean, and they give you a good portion of food. However, the service was a bit slow, and the food left much to be desired. I ordered the double bacon burger, and the bacon was too chewy, the onion was way too strong, and there was way too much mustard. It was overpowering everything else. The bacon is beef bacon as well, so while not a deal breaker, it was something that wasn't really great on a burger. Everything here is a la carte. We got two meals, and everything was separate. Even the condiments which cost us 50 cents for each. We ended up spending about $27.00 for two meals. The onion rings were okay, but the fries were blah. They weren't horrible, but they didn't stand out in any way. Even the chili cheese fries left an empty feeling behind, like there was nothing satisfying about it. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but I won't be back. The food was just too expensive to be subpar. Especially with In-N-Out, Five Guys, Wendy's, and McDonalds just right around the corner. You just get more bang for your buck at those places.

The customer service is always very nice. Garden burger is very tasty... cooked to order and quickly done. Lots of topping selections at a reasonable price. I love the Cajun Tatar Tots!!! Nice and neat burger joint..I usually get mine to go!

We have been loyal customers of Wayback for a few years now and spent hundreds of dollars at this location. However, this is our last time ordering from here because of the rude and unprofessional customer service we received from the manager. We ordered three burgers with lettuce, tomato, onions, sauce etc. and once we got home we noticed that we received only CHEESE and MEAT on a bun. When we called and told them that they had made a mistake, the manager initially told the employee we were speaking to that she would call us back - which makes no sense as we just wanted the issue resolved the same night. When she finally agreed to come on the phone, there was no accountability on her part. She claimed "You didn't pay for veggies, veggies are free, I am not going to make you another 9$ burger." Instead, she suggested we come back and she will put the veggies on a now COLD burger. Sadly, she looked at the situation as nothing but a transaction due to the money she would lose by making new burgers instead of acknowledging her mistakes and making things right for a long time customer.

Food was really good in the people are really nice.

It was very difficult to understand the staff because they have a strong accent. I would encourage folks in Irving who are predominately from other countries to work on their English skills. Speak slower. Put some silences between your words. Understand that this isn't a race thing or it's not a negative thing, it's just true that it's extremely difficult to communicate with somebody else when heavy accents are involved.

I would make that a very strong pillar of your employee trainingthat if one of your employees or managers are owners has a heavy accent, a thick accent, incorporate some communication skills some speech skills even just some basic videos from YouTube to teach yourselves how to reduce the thickness of the accent. If you want to be successful you have to be able to communicate successfully. And the food is fantastic. It was really one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. And I love seeing the smiles on the employees faces. It was awesome. But the communication with the thick accent was a very difficult to work through. Most of the time I wasn't sure what was being said and I had to stand there and listen to the entire long speech of the staff. in fact when I first tried to order the food there was a female employee there and she was trying very hard to do a good job, but she had a very thick accent. And so when I would repeat things back to her to make sure I heard them, another employee, a male employee, came over and basically took over. I didn't really want that to happen. I'm guessing that he probably thought that she was better suited at a different part of the store doing other work. But I felt like that was somewhat disrespectful to her to just jump in and take over and send her somewhere else. It doesn't really help an employee develop their communication skills when they are pulled out of a situation like that. I feel like it would have been better to leave her in the situation and just help her, give her some coaching, because the accent that she had and the way she was speaking kind of fast and running all her work words together made it difficult to hear but the gentleman that relieved her had the same issue. So overall for those folks who are from other parts of the world, and they come to North Texas, they have to understand that they're thick accents are not a condemnation of their character, they are something to be appreciated, but they are also logistically very difficult when it comes to communication. Thick accents have to be overcome by speaking slowly and trying to emulate the speech patterns of native speakers from that country. Thank you for I went to a foreign country when I had an accent from Texas, I would try very hard to change the way that I speak so that I could be understood much better.

I do plan to go back though.

The food is really good and actually like the people. They were very warm and inviting. Overall their customer service was much better than customer service I find it other places staffed by American teenagers. American teenagers can be incredibly rude and there are some of the worst workers when it comes to commitment and being on board with catching the vision of the company.

now there was a prayer rug there and I just would caution you that if you have a prayer rug there, you want to make sure that other customers, who aren't Muslim, are going to feel welcome.

If a business appears to favor one religion over the others, then customers who aren't of that particular faith might not...

I would not eat from this location again until they fix Many things. It is really disappointing since it is a restaurant that sells Halal food and just let me down so hard. Let's begin:

  1. The food is okay at best. I ordered a Classic Burger, Rodeo Burger, Chili Cheese Fries, and a Mint Oreo "Shake". The Classic Burger was a basic burger. No real redeeming flavor or taste. Just meh. Something you can eat. The Rodeo Burger wasn't much different. It DID have this tangy sauce that is pooled in the onion ring and only tasted after biting into it. It did very little to make the bland burger taste any better. The chili cheese fries were made with some store bought fries that had no seasoning and had some chili and cheese poured over it. The fries were akin to thicker Mcdonald's Fries. If not eaten right away, just bad. The Mint Oreo "Shake", if I can even use the word Shake to describe it, is just cold milk with Oreo bits crushed into it. It is a liquid. There is no thickness to it. Now, one may argue that I ate the shake too late and it had melted. No, It was the first thing I had as I finished my 30 minute wait for my food and was really hungry. The food was meh. Just able to be consumed and satiate hunger. If it was just the food, I would have left a lukewarm 3 star rating and been done with it. However, the following section will explain the 1 star rating (0 star if I could).
  2. SANITATION IS HORRENDOUS. Two employees who worked the pass only wore one plastic glove while making the food and serving it. With the non-glove hand, one employee would grab the cardboard dish for fries and use the gloved hand to put fries into the dish. However, anyone could see the non-glove hand touching the fries on the edges of the dish. This wouldn't be as big an issue because this is a restaurant and the employee should have clean hands. NO. This same employee would wipe their non-glove hands on their pants and touch lord knows what else and then serve food. It was horrifying. This worst was yet to come. With 2 non-gloved hands, a pass worker pushed an overfilled trash container down to make more room for trash. Okay, not so bad. But then she proceeded to NOT WASH HER HANDS and went, grabbed one glove and put it one to serve more food. The other dirty hand touched the outside of the "sterile" glove, so what's the point of even wearing it. I didn't pay much attention to the cook. I was too horrified by the pass worker. Dirty practices means that until the employees are trained on proper hygiene, this place isn't worth risking your health. Other things, no employee wore a mask. This is Texas, so masks aren't required and they could be vaccinated. I just think it would look better for the establishment to have a mask policy. You may wonder, why the hell would you eat the food after seeing all that. Because I hadn't eaten all day and paid $30 for the meal after reading good reviews. I figured, this was the first time I really saw the sausage being made and this is what actually happened in smaller kitchens. I could also be jaded after a year of COVID-19 and hypersensitive. It is a restaurant and it...

I came to order some food through the drive thru and the cashier let the money fly out of her hand. She even said she would go outside and look for the money because it flew out of her hand. The older lady came out and told my boyfriend that he could go look for it himself. We weren’t going to leave without paying because this used to be one of my favorite burger places. But the woman was rude saying it flew out of his hand and if we didn’t have money we weren’t getting food. My boyfriend stepped out of the car and found the money within 3 minutes. But the lady was already being rude to me at the window. I went inside to ask for my money back because her attitude was terrible and she said “why are you lying for him” “she said you were on your phone and didn’t see what happened” but the older lady wasn’t no where near the window when it happened on and two I was looking cause the money came out of my purse. The customer service was rude and disrespectful. She didn’t have to call me a liar or say that we didn’t have moneys my boyfriend told her the money flew out of the cashiers hand and she wants to call me a liar. I’ve always been a big fan of this place and I’m very disappointed on the service today and will not be returning. I suggest y’all go somewhere else with your business. The lady will assume you have no money or are a liar!! Would give 0...
