Food was really good in the people are really nice.
It was very difficult to understand the staff because they have a strong accent. I would encourage folks in Irving who are predominately from other countries to work on their English skills. Speak slower. Put some silences between your words. Understand that this isn't a race thing or it's not a negative thing, it's just true that it's extremely difficult to communicate with somebody else when heavy accents are involved.
I would make that a very strong pillar of your employee trainingthat if one of your employees or managers are owners has a heavy accent, a thick accent, incorporate some communication skills some speech skills even just some basic videos from YouTube to teach yourselves how to reduce the thickness of the accent. If you want to be successful you have to be able to communicate successfully. And the food is fantastic. It was really one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. And I love seeing the smiles on the employees faces. It was awesome. But the communication with the thick accent was a very difficult to work through. Most of the time I wasn't sure what was being said and I had to stand there and listen to the entire long speech of the staff. in fact when I first tried to order the food there was a female employee there and she was trying very hard to do a good job, but she had a very thick accent. And so when I would repeat things back to her to make sure I heard them, another employee, a male employee, came over and basically took over. I didn't really want that to happen. I'm guessing that he probably thought that she was better suited at a different part of the store doing other work. But I felt like that was somewhat disrespectful to her to just jump in and take over and send her somewhere else. It doesn't really help an employee develop their communication skills when they are pulled out of a situation like that. I feel like it would have been better to leave her in the situation and just help her, give her some coaching, because the accent that she had and the way she was speaking kind of fast and running all her work words together made it difficult to hear but the gentleman that relieved her had the same issue. So overall for those folks who are from other parts of the world, and they come to North Texas, they have to understand that they're thick accents are not a condemnation of their character, they are something to be appreciated, but they are also logistically very difficult when it comes to communication. Thick accents have to be overcome by speaking slowly and trying to emulate the speech patterns of native speakers from that country. Thank you for I went to a foreign country when I had an accent from Texas, I would try very hard to change the way that I speak so that I could be understood much better.
I do plan to go back though.
The food is really good and actually like the people. They were very warm and inviting. Overall their customer service was much better than customer service I find it other places staffed by American teenagers. American teenagers can be incredibly rude and there are some of the worst workers when it comes to commitment and being on board with catching the vision of the company.
now there was a prayer rug there and I just would caution you that if you have a prayer rug there, you want to make sure that other customers, who aren't Muslim, are going to feel welcome.
If a business appears to favor one religion over the others, then customers who aren't of that particular faith might not...
Read moreI would not eat from this location again until they fix Many things. It is really disappointing since it is a restaurant that sells Halal food and just let me down so hard. Let's begin:
I came to order some food through the drive thru and the cashier let the money fly out of her hand. She even said she would go outside and look for the money because it flew out of her hand. The older lady came out and told my boyfriend that he could go look for it himself. We weren’t going to leave without paying because this used to be one of my favorite burger places. But the woman was rude saying it flew out of his hand and if we didn’t have money we weren’t getting food. My boyfriend stepped out of the car and found the money within 3 minutes. But the lady was already being rude to me at the window. I went inside to ask for my money back because her attitude was terrible and she said “why are you lying for him” “she said you were on your phone and didn’t see what happened” but the older lady wasn’t no where near the window when it happened on and two I was looking cause the money came out of my purse. The customer service was rude and disrespectful. She didn’t have to call me a liar or say that we didn’t have moneys my boyfriend told her the money flew out of the cashiers hand and she wants to call me a liar. I’ve always been a big fan of this place and I’m very disappointed on the service today and will not be returning. I suggest y’all go somewhere else with your business. The lady will assume you have no money or are a liar!! Would give 0...
