Krispy Krunchy Chicken — Restaurant in Irving

My mom thought the name of this establishment was cool, so we decided to give them a try lol I don't know why their name is Krispy Krunchy Chicken because their chicken was definitely NOT crispy or crunchy!! The whole experience was awful. The guy working the register was on his phone the entire time. He was of no help to us .. we were having a hard time deciphering the menu. He was more concerned about the convo he had going on with whoever he was texting than trying to provide any kind of service to us. The way he packaged our order was crazy. We had 4 orders put into 1 plastic bag! The bag was so HEAVY .. I was worried the bag was gonna bust! And then, part of our order was put in the bag sideways .. I mean putting an order together isn't rocket science, good grief. So we finally get the food back to the house and we're going thru everything. In some of the orders the chicken looked like they had been sitting under heat lamps for hours and in the other orders, they weren't cooked long enough. There was NOTHING crispy or crunchy about this places chicken! Oh and the sides .. what a joke! They clearly microwave their sides because the mac&cheese was burnt into the container it came in. The red beans & rice wasn't cooked long enough (or should I say, microwaved long enough, smh) and the fries also looked/tasted as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. I've read reviews for the other locations and they are all raving reviews about this establishment. So I may try them again at one of their other locations? As for the Coker St. location .....

First time coming here. The guy working was very nice. Got chicken and fries instead . See reason below. Chicken was good. I wouldn't call it cajun flavored and def not spicy but it's well seasoned. Fries were good. Not even able to put my finger on what kind of seasoning they put on these Fries but it's good. The biscuit was very yum. I'd describe it as a cross between the soft texture of a kfc biscuit and flavor of a sweet churches biscuit. The 2pc combo they have for six dollars doesn't come with a biscuit or drink so you have to get that separately. The chocolate chunk cookie was good too. I'll def return here. Wanted to try their pizza today but didn't have time to wait. I placed my order and was told 15min wait but once I learned there was only one worker there placing AND making orders for this place AND krispy chicken next door (they're connected... no wall in between) I knew it would be longer than 15min because there were already a few orders before mine. I'll come back another day for the pizza but went and got chicken &Fries instead. Much quicker turn...

I had been craving some good fried chicken for a while, and we finally tried this place the other night after looking at a bunch of different chicken places online. We were so hungry, that we just ate all the food and I forgot to take a picture! We got the #2 family combo meal, the meal that's supposed to be for two people. It came with six pieces of dark meat, two chicken tendies, and one side. We got fries. It was only 20$, and we had two thighs leftover for the next day because we couldn't eat it all. The chicken was moist and flavorful and was clearly marinated in spices before breading. It wasn't dry or old. The fries were slightly above average for a fast food joint, since they were elevated by what I believe is cajun seasoning. All in all, I rate Krispy Krunchy Chicken a 7.9/10. It's not gourmet, it's fast food-- but the price is right and the taste hits just right when you're craving fast food...
