This is a place we have been to many times.Several of our friends go as well. This past Saturday nights experience was so bad I don't want to return. On this 6/17/23 evening was not crowded at all. The bartender was, let's say, not what I would expect from this establishment. The bar had dirty dishes and used drinks stacked up while he sat at a table with the Kareokie gentleman for a good 15 or more minutes. Our male waiter had four tables, two were done eating, and then we had a group of 8 came in sat ordered wings and drinks.our waiter acted like he had ten tables. We thought we would stay after eating. Have a couple drinks enjoy the music .Well, we never saw the male waiter again. We waited and waited. The female waiter was getting a man at one the tables a to go order let's just say she was there talking to him for quite a while arm around her waist. She never looked to see if Mr two table drowning waiter needed bailed out. We finally went to the bar where the bartender did finally return to and waited to be asked if we wanted anything, but nope. We went up there to have another drink or two and say hey can you get us our dinner bill as well?" However after having to move stacked dishes just to sit down and comment to the bartender that we hadn't seen our waiter in 20 minutes or more could we get a drink up here BUT no he turned to us said here is your check you can add your tip to it . Let just say I tip well for good service . Not this night . I have suggested this place to many people and social media groups. Not now, I'm ashamed to...
Read moreThis is difficult for me to write because I don't like giving bad reviews, and most of the people there were great (especially our server), but there were comments made tonight by one of the staff members that were just awful and upsetting.
This was only my 3rd ever visit to this establishment. My date and I wanted to do a little karaoke. I'm not sure what happened, but the regular KJ left, and there was a young woman who stepped in to run the karaoke. There hadn't been any comment made at the time, things just carried on and all was fine until we were getting to the end of the night and one of the staff members (a male) got up to sing. When he got on the mic, he made it a point to call out the regular KJ for leaving, told everyone NOT to put money in the regular KJs tip jar, to instead give it to the young woman and called him an effing (person of Jewish decent) and said he was such a (another word for kitty).
My date and I were shocked, and as I looked around, I could tell we weren't the only ones uncomfortable with his comments. We decided not to stay to sing our next songs, we closed our tab, and we left.
I don't know the back story there, and it doesn't really matter. Making comments like that is not only unprofessional but super disrespectful and discriminatory, and I do not want to be a patron of an establishment that...
Read moreWhy does this place not have 5 stars? It’s literally the best hangout in Las Colinas. We’ve probably had everything on the menu and nothing has been close to bad. The servers are friendly and they remember not only your face but your drink orders! Maddison and Max are top notch servers and work extremely hard every time we are there to make sure we are cared for and served. never in our lives have we been the recipients of such great service. We never get sick of this place! If you’re reading this for a good recommendation- order the spicy buffalo shrimp if you’re wanting something spicy, or the chicken fried steak because. Um. Yum?! If you want something healthier the pork chop is HUMONGOUS and is delicious and comes with tasty asparagus. I always take half the pork chop home and have it the next day. I also love the El Cubano sandwich!!! Heck, order it all. The lunch menu has a light, yet tasty taco salad that is filling and yummy. If you haven’t been here just put down your phone and go! Of note, Jason is also an extremely up beat server that never fails to make you smile. Thank you Spirit Grille for an awesome close to home, home away...
