So I've loved taj chaat house for yrs now. Hadn't really been there since covid-19 but had chance to visit there today and food didn't even come close to the basic s standard of Indian food. I ordered samosa chaat and chole bhatura. Samosa chaat was owkayyy. Very basic and has some runny Chana sauce on a samosa with yogurt and red-green chutney with crunchy bhujiya on top. Very very basic taste. Presentation of the chaat was off putting. Runny Chana was soo blend that I regretted ordering chole bhatura thinking that it will probably be the sma e chana gravy used for chole and I was right!!!!! It was the same runny Chana they used to top my samasa chaat with which is not okay because chole is suppose to be actual chole- has a thick and dark gravy- served with onions, pickles and topped with a cilantro and a side of green chillie or at least some small side to go with it. Okay so the chole was not chole it was just Chana boiled with other spices- totally blend & lacked even salt!!!!!! I could not believe how their standard has gone down.... not even proper garnishing on the food is just a sign of poor management and lack of supervision to execute your cultural food. Bhatura was good!! I asked to replaced my chole with something else ...they gave me alloo masala( tasted like potato stuffing for dosa) which also lacked salt big time. I mean come on people!!! Customers can cook better at home than what you guys are serving at chaat chaat house. The only reason I am giving 2 star is because of the genuine customer service of the lady at the counter- she happily replaced my chole for potato masala & and didn't give me hard time. Y'all really need to sept up your game to stay in the business. Please understand that I loved this places and parents loved it when I bought them to this location before covid as well... but I'd not wanna come back if taste does...
Read moreIf you're looking for bold flavors, authentic Indian street food, and an unforgettable culinary experience, Tag Chaat House is the place to go. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the irresistible aroma of freshly prepared spices.
The chaat selection is top-notch – perfectly balanced between tangy, spicy, and sweet. Their Dahi Puri is an absolute must-try – crispy shells, flavorful water, and fresh fillings that burst with every bite. I also had the Pav Bhaji, and it was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor, served with soft, toasted buns that were just perfect.
The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, making it a great spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed meal with friends. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about the dining experience.
Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. You can tell they put a lot of heart into their food.
Highly recommend Tag Chaat House – it's a hidden gem that deserves all the love. I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreIf you enjoy ROTTEN month old food picked out of trash, topped with arguments and bad attitude after paying 17 bucks, this is the place to go. We ordered north Indian thali. One curry think navaratna kurma was rotten, we both spit it out. Reported. They took that cup offered cheap chole that causes gas, we dont eat that, I asked if I could get paneer butter masala instead. She brought it with arrogance arguing people inside checked the rotten curry and it was good and this paneer curry doesn't come with thali still giving you. She Implied two things. 1. kitchen people are beggars who can eat out of trash so not finding problem with rotten curry and 2. she is doing big favor by replacing it with paneer curry. We have dined there many times and never complained. Find is always old but acceptable. I am aware the thali doesn't come with paneer butter masala, but it also doesn't come with rotten curry picked out of trash. I paid money for it not trash bags. I would have ignored it calling it an honest mistake but her attitude is what intrigued me to...
