I recently dined at Midori Sushi and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The sushi didn't taste fresh at all; there was an odd, almost sour smell to the fish, but I ignored my instincts and assumed it would be fine. I ordered several sashimi pieces along with some squid salad, and hoped the quality would match the prices.

Within a few hours of eating, I started feeling extremely sick, and soon enough, I was dealing with the unmistakable symptoms of food poisoning. It was awful. The next evening I woke up in a cold sweat and my wife rushed me to the ER thinking something seriously was wrong with me. Upon getting to the ER I was showing signs of sepsis. If you don't know what that is, look it up. After approx 8 hours in the ER and a battery of tests, the Dr's final diagnosis was indeed food poisoning. I went home slept and couldn't work for another 3 days. It was the worst bout of food poisoning ive ever had. I’m beyond disappointed and very concerned about the food safety at this place.

I went to the owner after all of this to let him know and to see if he could reimburse me for the meal and the hospital bills. He recognized me, remembered my meal then told me to talk to his insurance, who denied the claim even with a Dr's diagnosis!!!

There are plenty of great sushi options in the area. I would suggest dining at one of those great places. Do not risk your life and well-being going to Midori Sushi.

I’m hesitant to ever try sushi again after this experience, and I would strongly advise anyone thinking of dining here to reconsider. Food poisoning is not something to take lightly, and no restaurant should be this careless...

I gave this 4 stars because although this is one of my favorite places and I come often enough that they know my phone in order by heart, the wait staff does tend to be slow. I will also state the wait staff has gotten tremendously better over the years I've been coming. They have a sushi bar, full menu, and serve buffet during the lunch hours they're open. I like the food and quality of ingredients, I like the way the way the sushi is prepared. The buffet sushi does have a few corners cut to make the food quicker to turn out but the taste doesn't really suffer. A real treat is to try the house special called a #3. Sushi prepped and cooked in an oven. They will serve you two pieces along with the miso soup when you sit down. I started ordering ahead for pickup as a way to circumvent a long period of waiting for food and then waiting for the check. But honestly, this is one of those places you come and expect to stay awhile. Order food and sit around talking and drinking sake until they kick you out. I do advise to avoid going during the Nelson golf tournament if you're a local. That is one of their busiest weeks or two. Friday and Saturday night, plan to be there awhile I'd the place is packed. Best to get there around opening as you're very likely to get in and out quicker. Good place to just...

I really REALLY like this restaurant a lot! I was driving one day and saw the the restaurant name MIDORI SUSHI mixed in among the other names in the shopping plaza. and never realized there was a sushi restaurant there. I decided to look up their reviews and saw so many people talking about how affordable it was and that it was delicious. So my daughter and I made a trip. It's been about 2 weeks since we originally saw that sign with their name and we've been back 3 times. I will admit I have to agree with one of the reviews I saw where it said the roll was a little sloppy. We did have some sushi rolls that fell apart and had rice all over the place, but even then they were still tasty. We did have a little bit of a negative experience because we ordered some tempura rolls and they were overcooked to the point that there were burnt pieces and the rice was hard to bite. However, I called to tell them about that experience and they were very quick to make it right. The only reason I took away a star is because of that one experience, but because of the professionalism and their willingness to make it right, I will continue to eat here and I definitely recommend you give them a try. I have to echo what everyone else has said. You can come here and get a delicious meal and not...

We've been going here for years. During lockdown it was one of the few places that managed to stay afloat, and the quality didn't suffer. The last 2 visits, the most recent one in particular, was the most disappointing. Borderline ignored by the wait staff. We watched everyone seated after us, who also ordered a significant time after we had placed an order for 2 rolls... receive soup, salad, AND entrees. The Firecracker and Jewish rolls are usually fresh, and plentiful. The pricing hasn't changed in the last few months, but the quality and portion size definitely has. Between the outrageously over cooked tempura roll, excessive use of jalapenos, the freezer burn undertone on the 'fresh salmon' roll, and having to stand up while waving both arms to flag down someone... it's no longer the local gem it once was. Maybe it'll change again for the better, but not planning to return anytime soon after the last experience.

Super "All you can eat Sushi" for 9.99 Dollars, at least this was the price when I was in Texas 2 years ago! Fantastic selection, very fresh and especially delicious! Nice waitress staff serving you! All the other staff are nice to! My recommendations, if your fond of Sushi and a nice way to enjoy your office lunch break or what ever you been doing! Thanks again for the tasty Sushi selection! The only thing I don't get and it's just a small critic why the US beers and especially Japanese beers are so expensive which are being served in this restaurant! Everybody was drinking "Tap water" or " Ice water" being served or a soda in some occasions! I do get it while your on break of office work not to consume alcohol but I love me a good "Asahi" Sapporo ",, Singha (Thai beer!) etc. while I am consuming very good and tasty sushi or a glass of white wine or even hell" Sake "! 😊😁😎👍

Hello everyone, so it's been YEARS since I have visited this fine restaurant. The food remains as I remember it. DELICIOUS. I went during lunch and had the Teriyaki chicken (lunch portion). For a few dollars more you can upgrade your dish to the dinner portion if you are really hungry. 😋 Service here remains on point. The other dishes you see in the pics are chicken fried rice and teriyaki & bento combo. As starters they serve Miso soup followed by a small salad. They wait time for our food was minimal. By the time we were finishing our salads, the main dishes were being brought out. Great lunch place. If you like sushi, this place will not disappoint. Stop by if you are in the area.
