We have been coming to this restaurant for the last few years when it was called Jimmy's Burger, nearly once or twice every month. This time we come by after a few months. The name is now Sultani Grill &Burgers. The owner did tell us last year that he was trying to get the name changed. Since my wife was hungry, she ordered Spicy Chana chat and Sweet gool gappay as appetizers. We asked the cashier guy if they had Sweet gool gappay and if he can have the chana chat not Spicy. He said " Yes". My wife ordered a Chapli Burger . Fries were extra add ons. So she also ordered curly fries with her Chapli Burger. And a caffeine free coke. Since i don't eat fries, i only wanted a Mango Habanero Burger. And water No ice from fountain. I repeated the complete order again. We went to our corner seats as always. A few minutes later ,since the guy didn't bring our drinks, I got up and asked him for the drinks. Then 10 minutes later when my wife asked where are the appetizers, he finally brings the Chana chat. Which was fridge cold. So I took it to him and asked him to heat it. He told me that people eat this chat Cold. I told him that we've never eaten a fridge cold chat. He looked at me as if I had said something strange. He then brings our Burgers to our table. My wife again asked ,where ir our appetizers????? He then brings the Chana chat ( which was still cold) and gool gappay with water. My wife complained that she ordered Sweet gool gappay. He said that it was with sweet water. My wife said that she doesn't want that gool gappay and were going to eat our burgers. He said that "No" you cannot cancel or return the order. I told him to leave it. Since we were both very hungry we started eating our burgers. My Mango Habanero burger was dry, without jack cheese or Habanero sauce. The only sauce i saw was on the paper under neath the burger and it was sweet, not Habanero Mango. And definitely not on the burger . My wife's Chapli burger was a little juicy but she said it was different taste. I took a bite of her Chapli burger and told her that it was a little better than my Dry and tasteless Mango Habanero burger. Plus they gave me fries with my Mango Habanero burger and even charged it , which i didn't order . Finalizing.....the chana chat was still fridge cold with no potatoes and stale. The sweet gool gappay were regular gool gappay with stale gool gappay and same stale chanas from the Chana chat. Mango Habanero burger was completely dry ,without Jack cheese and Mango Habanero sauce. The service was very slow . In short my wife said we waisted our time and money to drive 40 miles to eat there. We decided that we will think twice before coming there. Maybe their desi food and dishes are better, but this review is based on our experience and our food that we ordered. And 1 person taking orders and serving too ,never works, especially when you have a order, sit down and eat place. And my guess is that maybe management and cook has changed and maybe they're still figuring out their budget and expenses. Meanwhile the quality and service is not on their priorities. Two thumbs...
Read moreI have never been more disappointed and appalled by a dining experience than my recent visit to [jimmy grill]. I eagerly arrived, excited to indulge in what we had heard were their renowned dishes. Little did we know, this would turn into a night of sheer frustration and hunger. Upon entering, the atmosphere seemed promising, with a lively ambiance and the aroma of food tantalizing our senses. However, my hopes were soon dashed when we realized that despite being seated promptly, our waiter seemed to vanish into thin air after taking my order for a small chicken tikka roll. One hour. Yes, you read that correctly.I waited a full hour without a single morsel of food appearing on our table. Meanwhile, tables around us were served promptly, leaving us to wonder if we had somehow been forgotten or purposefully neglected. The lack of communication was appalling. No updates, no apologies, not even a reassurance that our orders were on their way. It was as if My hunger and time were of no concern to the staff. As our patience wore thin, i finally decided to approach the hyderabadi guy who was on reception who took my order, hoping for an explanation or perhaps some form of compensation. Instead, I were met with indifference and excuses about kitchen delays and unforeseen circumstances. While I understand that issues can arise in any restaurant, the complete disregard for customer satisfaction was inexcusable. To add insult to injury, when we expressed our frustration and requested to cancel our orders, the manager had the audacity to act as if we were inconveniencing them. No offer to make things right, no gesture of goodwill—just a dismissive attitude that left us feeling disrespected and utterly disappointed. In conclusion, if you value your time, your appetite, and your sanity, I strongly urge you to steer clear of [jimmy grill]. The incompetence, lack of customer service, and overall disregard for patrons' experience make it abundantly clear that this establishment does not deserve your hard-earned money. There are countless other dining options in the area that will treat you with the respect and courtesy you deserve. Save yourself the frustration and...
Read moreFrom the moment you walk into Sultani Grill and Burgers in Irving, you can feel the warmth and authenticity that sets this place apart. The restaurant offers a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a family dinner, a casual night out, or even a quick meal for anyone craving high-quality Afghan and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Food: The food at Sultani is absolutely phenomenal. The highlight of our visit was without a doubt the Goat Karahi — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The goat was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked to fall-off-the-bone softness, and swimming in a rich, flavorful tomato-based sauce packed with spices. The balance of heat, tanginess, and deep savory flavor made every bite unforgettable. It was served sizzling hot, accompanied by fresh, fluffy naan that paired perfectly with the karahi gravy. The kabobs were also excellent — juicy, flavorful, and expertly grilled — but the goat karahi truly stole the show. You can tell it’s made fresh to order with real care and traditional techniques.
Service: The service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They made great recommendations and checked in at just the right times to make sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. Food came out fresh and timely despite how busy they were.
Ambiance: The dining area is clean, well-lit, and thoughtfully decorated, giving a comfortable and inviting vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed meal with family and friends and still feel like you’re treating yourself to something special.
Value: For the quality, flavor, and portion size, the pricing is more than fair. Every dish feels like it could easily be served at a high-end restaurant, but at Sultani, you’re getting incredible value.
Final Thoughts: Sultani Grill and Burgers is truly a hidden gem in Irving. If you visit, the Goat Karahi is an absolute must-try — a dish that showcases just how incredible and comforting real traditional cooking can be. We’ll definitely be back soon to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves rich, authentic flavors and excellent...
