Taqueria Charly #2 — Restaurant in Irving

This place lost a sale and a customer from 2 not great experiences. Let's start here; the food is good. But, it's Texas and you can find good Mexican food anywhere. This place just happens to be two blocks from my residence.

The first time I went, I ordered a beef taco and chicken burrito but received a beef taco and beef burrito. I should've said something then, but I thought to myself, "if it's good, I'll go back and try the chicken."

I went back and ordered a chicken burrito, went outside to pump my gas and didn't remember I even ordered the burrito until it was closing time. I went back and they told me they threw it away because it was at the end of the day. Which I honestly understood. I would've been ok with the loss had they not told me I could come back the next day and get it. I apologized and thanked them for their kindness.

I come back today knowing that this could go one of two ways. If they kept their word, I was ready to order more to show my gratitude. But after five minutes of waiting and how ever many phone calls, they told me I could not get it.

Me and my husband have been ordering here for years. Tonight left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered ahead of time, and they said 10 mins, I gave them 15mins. When I got there I saw the food was ready, but they wanted me to stand in line to pay for it which I did, but a guy came from behind the counter and said " is this your food" he called out the order and I said" yep, that's me" he grabbed the food like he was about to bag it up and hand it to me and take my payment but he says you need to wait in line to pay. But when turned back around, there were like 5 more people waiting in line to order, so I left. I'm not waiting in this long line to pay for food that I called in. I wish this didn't happen because I do like this place and have never had an issue until tonight, but this was enough. I will never eat here again. I absolutely loved the food from Taqueria Charly, I would go very often for the breakfast tacos. I recommended the tacos for a company lunch, and order two days in advance calling to confirm the order the day before and an hour before. When I got there it took them over 30 minutes to provide me with my order, which defeated the purpose of me ordering in advance I rushed back to work to find that I was missing the rice and beans with the order. I called to inform them I was missing that part of my order, and I was told they do not provide refunds I can come pick up my rice and beans but I technically I got them for "free" because it was a special.
