I don't even know where to begin. The store in Irving, TX on Northgate and Beltline is a disgrace to your brand. I have been shopping here for four years and it has gotten progressively worse. Let's begin with the dysfunctional parking lot. Pot holes that destroy a vehicle and not enough spaces to accommodate demand. Then, to make matters worse, some genius has decided to take away six parking spaces (which we've established is difficult to park in ANYWAY) for click list space. WHOSE BRILLIANT IDEA WAS THAT?! Perhaps go back and check the demographics for the area and put together the fact that a vast majority of customers are on SNAP, which cannot be used for click list, and take a peek at how MANY people come and go from this store, then understand why taking away an entire ingress and egress point was idiotic. So, once you've fumbled your way into the awkward front door (now singular) we get to the shopping carts.... Or DO we? I challenge ANY person from the corporate office to 1. obtain a cart and 2. For the blasted thing to actually Roll, so you aren't dragging a locked up, gimpy - wheeled abomination through the store. If you should get lucky, and most times you won't, you will spend a huge majority of time selecting your products. Why? Because the store has been recently "renovated." what a joke. Today, seven months pregnant, as I was dragging my cart through the store, I happened to grab fresh Tortillias from the bakery. Midway through my shopping experience I had an urgent bathroom need and thought I might be able to use the (generally disgusting) restroom. Nope. Closed for remodeling. So I rush through my trip, get home, and the tortillas are MOLDY. Now, if this had been the first time it had happened maybe I would have just shrugged it off and sent my husband back for replacements, but this has happened (usually in dairy) MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES in the past six months. Rotten food that was on store shelves. Also, had I sent him for a product exchange he would have stood in line at customer service for no less than an hour. I have written before, when the store was in better shape and never gotten a response, so I don't exactly expect one this time. The one positive thing I have to say about this location is that your day shift associates are PHENOMENAL. They are what continue to bring me back. Alexis, Kristian, Nanu, Heather, John and countless others are always smiling and helpful. As I have taken the time to write this after sobbing over moldy Tortillias and the dread of returning to buy more, I will also be taking the time to share on social media. Perhaps I'm not the only "valued" customer who feels this way? Why don't I just use clicklist? My explanation, aside from the fact that I would have to SCHEDULE a time to go to the grocery store, is that the quality control at this location is abhorrent. I can't even trust MYSELF to pick out groceries, how could I ever allow someone else to do it? Get it...
Read moreOn Sunday afternoon went into Kroger's at beltline and Northgate, got ready to check out walked up to Rebecca's express checkout. She started ringing me up, I told her I had some water and a 12 pack of beer on bottom of cart so my kid picked up so that she could scan it she stated "O my you are not suppose to handle that in the store." First mistake she made all my kid did was pick up the beer so that she could scan it, I don't think he was going to drink it. that policy is more for if the child was in the store by themselves. Next my credit card was cracked through the stripe so I told her you have to input in the numbers she started doing that also calling out the numbers out loud, I asked her do not call the numbers out loud, she responded "O nobody is paying attention to me, I said OK you don't know that someone maybe writing the numbers down. Well she couldn't figure out how to input the numbers so she calls over Co manager Timothy explains to him the situation. He tells me it is store policy that we cannot input the numbers, then he walks away. She still could not get the numbers to work, but every other cashier knows what to do, I finally paid cash for my merchandise, snatched the receipt out of her hand, and left the store. got home two of my products, I did not get went back to the store explain to the service manager what happen, she talks to Rebecca, she states he got everything he bought. Service Manager calls Co Manager over before Co manager could find out what's going on he goes in chastises me that the cashier said I touched her, I told her all I did is snatch the receipt out of her hand no touching her. The service manager had to tell him what about his 2 chickens he did not get (He don't listen). He did not want to give me my chickens the store never gave me, I had money to buy more, but was not giving in, I got my chickens left, I told him I will never come back to this store ever again, he told me if I come back, he would call the police on me. People until they fire Rebecca cashier, or Timothy Co Manager, I will not return to this store, If you look at my Kroger's card you see I spend alot of money in this store to get treated the way , I get treated. All other merhants will input the card number why...
Read moreOver 8 weeks have passed since our purebred toy Fox Terrier was stolen at this Kroger by a middle aged, average build, 5'6" bald man with dark black complexion on May 16, 2014 at 9:56AM who was brazen enough to bring our dog into Kroger and purchase packages of bottled water then check out with our stolen dog in view of the indoor security camera. Now Kroger ignores the Irving Law Enforcement subpoena sent over a month ago that could have recovered our dog. Is our dog being abused and mistreated? Take Note: if your wallet, purse, handbag, smart phone or other item of value is stolen on Kroger property - you're SOL. It took filing a police report just to view Kroger's security video showing the man stealing our dog going through the checkout then see him drag our dog to a white SUV. Kevin, the manager told us the man used a Valued Customer card for the transaction, but Kroger's Loss and Prevention won't release transaction information to the police without a subpoena - stonewalling any recovery. The dog is well trained and valued over $500 - priceless as a companion, tagged with phone numbers of the Vet and owner making this theft a class A misdemeanor. Note: this Kroger has NO SECURITY CAMERAS in the parking lot don't leave any belongings unattended and watch your surroundings at the Redbox in this parking lot. Avoiding this Kroger and find a safer area to do...
