Well unfortunately I have to write this one star review due to my wife’s Mother’s Day being ruined! She just left the house to go for a ride crying. She only ate 1 yogurt all day. Really was looking forward to this meal! We haven’t eaten out or had takeout since the covid outbreak. She had her heart set! I called our order in because my wife said a week prior how she could go for a certain dish from this establishment. So I made a note and called in a take out order reservation on Wednesday. I called to confirm my 5pm Mother’s Day takeout order by making 46 calls after I got done with my emergency response 96 hr work week. I was told by the young man I spoke to that they would bring my order out and asked what kind of car I drive. He also told me that there was a 20 minute window. I got there 10 minutes early and I observed people walking in and out. These people where not social distancing and seen a couple young women without the mandatory mask. Obviously no medical issues! So I waited like a good boy for fifteen minutes while calling there busy signal phone. I called my wife and she said come home but I told her no that I was waiting so I waited another 15 minutes and still no food came out to me! Now we are past the 20 minute window. So I went to look inside and people where standing shoulder to shoulder except for the pick up counter! At least the employees are being kept safe! Except for the fact I seen some of them huddled up by the beer cooler! I also observed how filthy the door was with greasy finger prints gleaming on the door in the afternoon sun!!! Why the door weren’t propped open with the line outside instead of everyone crammed in the restaurant is beyond me! I really didn’t want to start standing in the long line and wait for another half hour. I seen the turn around time and the last thing I wanted was old soggy food. There where 50 cars in the parking lot with people sitting in them waiting on people that where in the restaurant. Can’t say they where employees cars. Big ball drop Abruzzi’s after this I have no desire to ever go back for this over priced limited menu restaurant!!! My wife loved your dirty establishment! My total was over 200 phone calls and no food for my wife’s 4th special holiday! I’ll be picking bubbas across the street for Father’s Day! They have the best home cooking only next to my...
Read moreI recently dined at Abruzzi Italian Cucina, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience that left me eager to return. From the moment I arrived, the charming stone facade and elegant signage set the tone for a memorable meal. Inside, the ambiance was warm and refined, with dark wood paneling, intricate gold-toned wallpaper, and a stunning chandelier casting a soft glow. The dining room felt cozy yet spacious, with neatly arranged tables and a spotless environment—right down to the pristine bathroom. The food was exceptional. I started with a fresh house salad featuring crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, red onions, and carrots, paired with a creamy ranch dressing that was perfectly balanced. A basket of warm, crusty bread with butter followed, and it was irresistible—soft inside with a golden, slightly crispy exterior. My main course, the Chicken Parmesan, was a masterpiece: tender, breaded chicken topped with melted mozzarella, marinara, and fresh herbs, served with al dente spaghetti in a flavorful, homemade-tasting sauce. The Grilled Salmon with Bowtie Pasta in a creamy tomato sauce was another highlight—the salmon was flaky and well-seasoned, and the pasta sauce was velvety and delicious. For dessert, the tiramisu was a heavenly finish: creamy mascarpone, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of cocoa, drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were divine. The service was outstanding—my server was attentive, warm, and knowledgeable, ensuring I had everything I needed without being intrusive. The staff worked seamlessly together, creating a smooth and enjoyable experience. I also loved the lively atmosphere, with a TV behind the bar playing a game (I bet they’d have the Pirates on during the season!). The bar area looked inviting, with Peroni and Coors Light signs hinting at a solid drink selection. Abruzzi Italian Cucina is a true gem, earning every one of its five stars. The food, cleanliness, and service were all top-notch, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. I can’t wait to return—I highly...
Read morePoor customer service. I placed an order and was told 20 minutes. I arrived 23 minutes later to pick up and my 4 cut junior pizza had not been made. I was told it would be just a few minutes, until I directly asked I was not told they never made it. I noticed the older gentleman there making the pizza and think I heard an accent so I believe that was the owner. He was the one who forgot to make my pizza and didn't even come out from behind to apologize. I waited a complete 24 minutes longer for it to be made, cooked and ready. Meanwhile my other food was on top of the pizza oven. When I was handed my order and told to have a good day, I thought maybe I was being compensated. I asked the worker if I was supposed to pay? He looked confused and said "yes", I told him I wouldn't be opposed to a discount for the wait. He laughed and proceeded to charge me the full price. When I got home the bread from hoagie that was barely filled was to hard to eat from sitting on the pizza oven and the pizza was doughy in the center. Bottom line, the pizza and the hoagie went in the garbage. So I paid a little over $23 for 6 lukewarm, pre-frozen cheese sticks. How disappointing. It's so close to where we live, but not comping a $5.99 pizza because you forgot to make it or any kind of apology from the owner.... we won't be spending our money here again. There are many other Italian restaurants in the area. For reference I arrived at 4:23 and got in my car at 4:47 in case any one would like to follow up. My order...
