We live 30 miles away. I visit Irwin twice a month.Recently started looking for playground free things to do while there. I have 6 children ages 23,( still my baby too)16,14,13,12,3. First time visiting was July 2 2022. Easily directioned through goolgle. 2 seperate parking areas one closest to the playground equipment and a nice covered eating/ gathering area with picnic tables and a grill. With the other area being closer to the courts. Nicely cleaned circular walking trail. Creek/ stream flowing near the park as well that looked very cooling on the hot 90 degree temps. However it looks as though repairs are being made to fix uneven areas to the walking trail. So we werent able to wade in it. Safety cones and signs were posted. Bikes are permitted in certain areas only according to the signs. They also have a ball field. a stage for some type of performances, and a building behind the big row of swings. Not sure if toilets were available..we had to go ,so we had to gooo. Will be stopping back down again once more this month. Would love to see that we could wade in the water this...
Read moreBeen going here since I was a kid. Nice park, big playset for the kiddos. Plenty of swings. Has a public bathroom finally. Basketball court, etc. Years ago they had like a sprinkler thing for when it was hot out...wasn't on that much. I believe it may be gone now. Used to have an awesome huge wooden play area up on the hill. No upkeep and people vandalizing ruined that. Not sure how long that's been gone. Sad to see it gone. Also there's a stage. Years ago they used to have a lot of concerts in the park and it was a lot of fun. Now, they're lucky if they have 2 concerts a summer. Wish they would put some money towards adding new stuff and having more concerts. Good place to take the kids but the park was definitely a lot...

It has recently become dog-friendly, and there are doggie bags at the entrances to the park. When I can't make it to Oak Hollow Park, this...
