“I said YES to the dress at MarWin Bridal!”

MarWin Bridal and their entire team were absolutely phenomenal! I purchased my dress and veil from MarWin Bridal for my vow renewal. I also had my alterations done here as well. I highly recommend this shop for all of your wedding and bridal needs.

I found this shop in search of a specific wedding dress brand (Essence of Australia) and MarWin came up as a vendor carrying the brand in my internet search in my area.

We set an appointment and I received attentive one on one VIP treatment for the entire appointment. You can bring your entire wedding party group as well.

I was not sure of the fit and style of dress I wanted initially. Their appointment app was helpful to prepare me for my visit.

When we arrived, they helped me to try on several options from their robust collection to narrow down my search. They were extremely patient with me while helping me try on the dresses while providing helpful tips along the way.

Their selection was robust for women of all tastes, shapes and sizes. Prices for dress and alterations were comparable to the market. Their shop was similar to a boutique and was bright, adorable and perfect!

I am very indecisive and did a search among several shops in Pittsburgh before making my final decision. The dress of my dreams and the quality of the 2 dresses in my final running ended up being from MarWin. I took pictures of all dresses that I tried on. I was pulled right back to their shop every time. Quality was unmatched. My dress had been at the shop from the first try on and was waiting for me when it was time for me to make a final decision.

Gina provided top notch customer service and helped me to try on dresses. She was an absolute gem the entire time and provided support services for my initial appt. with a smile. Karen was also there as well and they were both extremely helpful.

Karen did the alterations and the bustle for my dress. She is a master with her skills. With over 30 years of experience, she made magic happen with my dress putting any worries I had to rest and made sure my dress had the most amazing fit specifically for me.

Jamie was the owner and helped to provide follow thru and facilitated all appointments. She was extremely patient and professional with me the entire time and answered all questions I had along the way. She also helped me with try ons when my dress order came in.

In the past couple months of wedding dress shopping, we have had amazing experiences and worked with amazing consultants who have gone above and beyond to help us in the search for a perfect dress. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for our experience at Marwin Bridal today. Based on trips to other shops, I fully expected to spend at least a couple hours watching our bride try on gowns, and ensured that my schedule was clear for the whole day, only to spend a whopping 40 minutes at Marwin. The dress selection was underwhelming as there were only about 4 racks for us to choose from. The consultant assisting us didn't help pull or even suggest dresses to us, but just stood quietly off to the side as we struggled to find our preferred style. We pulled 5 dresses to try on, only to be told, “I can’t think of any other ones” when we weren’t totally in love with those 5. We were constantly reminded each time we pulled a dress off the rack that “you can’t buy this one off the rack”, and she even made comments to our bride in the fitting room about prices, such as “this one is $2000, do you still want to try this one on?” Throughout the try-on/show process, our consultant had little to nothing to say about the dresses, other than “what don’t you like?”. When asked how a particular dress would look bustled, our consultant lazily grabbed the end of the train and held it up to nearly the whole right side of the back of the dress. She put little to no effort in laying the train of the dress out when our bride was standing on the step. Aside from being completely lazy and unhelpful, this woman was not personable whatsoever and just plain awkward to be around.

As a point of reference, I’ve compiled a list of situations that I would consider less awkward than our experience at Marwin Bridal:

1. Walking back after you bowl from bowling
2. Having people sing “happy birthday” to you
3. When the cashier says “I can take the next person” but you’re still putting away your change
4. When the waiter tells you to enjoy your meal and you say, “you too” in response.
5. Waving at someone who wasn’t actually waving at you

All in all, I’m glad I drove 50 minutes out of town and 50 minutes back to get Applebee’s. The service there was...

Back in February, I said yes to my dream wedding dress at MarWin Bridal and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience! This was my very first time trying on wedding dresses, and I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous going in. I even had a second appointment scheduled elsewhere the same day, just in case I didn’t find "the one."

But the moment I stepped into the shop, I felt completely at ease. The space was bright, clean, and thoughtfully arranged to make the whole experience feel special. I worked with Jen who was incredibly patient and supportive as I tried on what felt like countless dresses. When I finally stepped into a gown by Essence of Australia, I knew it was the one!

The only challenge was the timeline. My wedding was quickly approaching, and unfortunately, the dress in my size wouldn't arrive in time. Jen and Jamie did everything they could to find a solution and ultimately offered me the dress off the rack, along with a list of recommended local seamstresses for alterations.

I left the shop without the dress that day, holding onto hope that a seamstress would say yes to the tight timeline. I went to my second appointment, but I couldn’t stop thinking about that dress. I searched for the same feeling in every gown I tried on, and nothing compared. I knew I had to go back!

As I sat in the parking lot after my second appointment with no dress, I called MarWin (just as they were closing for the weekend) praying my dress was still available. Jamie picked up and she instantly knew it was me coming back for my dress. She graciously stayed after hours, let me try it on one more time, and I left that evening with my dream dress in hand (and a seamstress willing to do the alterations).
