I used to love this place but unfortunately because of dietary restrictions i was treated very unjust and poorly because of modifications to my meal...when asking for the manager i was refused and was told "you caught us on a bad day" and "we were really busy" which is unacceptable as a paying customer. I wont recommended to anyone anymore if its a burden to cook my food the way i order imagine how i feel having to order it or being the one that has to constanly deal with judgement and public embarrassment my two kids were even disturbed by the comments being made. This is the best breakfast around...or so i thought it was until this horrible situation happened ive never felt so unsatisfied with how a situation like this was handled and hope they can improve how they treat people. I shouldnt feel this way for something as simple as ordering food the way id prefer to eat it. When Messaging the business directly this is how they responded........"Sir, this is a restuarant, we are not your private chefs. You did not ask for a couple modifications, we were handed your own personal recipe. We were extrememy busy today, your table wanted breakfast in the middle of a busy, lunch time rush. We can usually accomodate breakfast orders when they refleck our menu. You may have dietary restrictions, but that is your concern, we have plenty of items on our menu that could easly satisfy those restrictions, but you instead wish to throw a wrench in the gears of a very well run cook line, by asking us to switch gears, put a hold on other patrons meals, so that we can read, re-read, discard something that should be part of the dish, stop something from is normally part of the dish, read your instructions again, and start over. All the while orders from other patrons are piling up. Please order from the menu, when you visit a restaurant. If you don't like the menu item as written, find something you will be happy with. you rant, I rant back." Disrespectful business owner&I will continue to tell people about my terrible experience here.

My boyfriend ordered a vegetarian skillet without peppers or cheese, add an egg every time we came here. It started becoming an issue when the cook started recognizing my boyfriend and regularly shooting dirty looks at our table while we were seated. Once we sat down we were handed breakfast&lunch menus. When we started ordering the waitress pointed out that we would have to wait for the modified skillet to which we replied that was no problem. If they would have simply told us in that moment that the cook and staff couldn’t have handled that type of modification, we are very easy people, he would have ordered something else. But instead boyfriend proceeded to apologize and explain himself that it was due to dietary restrictions. The waitress replied that they have skillets bases already made and because of him ordering with modifications they couldn’t use the already prepped skillet so if he would like to add more modifications that he already made it a hard order. (We had been here many times and this was never mentioned before.) At the end of the meal my boyfriend went up to the counter to pay and asked if he could talk to a manager. He was told that she wouldn’t come off of the line to speak with him. When he proceeded to tell the lady at the register that due to this negative experience that we wouldn’t be back he was told that she would go get the manager. To which he responded that he was not interested, proceeded to tip even though they clearly didn’t deserve any extra money.

I’m extremely disappointed in the terrible experience I had here. If this was such an issue why was that not stated to us a LONG time ago. Instead they made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

My recommendation avoid this place as the owner and cook are entitled and arrogant. But CHECK OUT MANOR GRILLE! It’s only a block away & I promise you’ll be much happier all around! Better food...

Always awesome. Great food at reasonable prices. Their wings are the best! UPDATE: not as good as it use to be...went for wings on Irwins"s wing & chili thing...I was packed..but you couldn't order food from the bar..even though it was their wing night..and bartender..gave us a sour beer in draft..even though..that was not what we ordered..sat at a table..no one ever cleaned off...i moved everything..over to the corner of the table...there was no garbage can ..even at the bar..to throw anything away...bad service..just took 1 star away..could have been an off night...and good help is hard to find....I would like to add an Update: went October 8th..2024..They have changed their hours..But the tap room is open till 8pm.. and you can get their amazing wings on Tuesday and Wednesday they are $1.09...and they have some...
