Verde Menta — Restaurant in Isabela

Disclaimer: This review is based solely on service and not the food itself. My family and I visited this place last Saturday. It left a bitter taste in our mouth and will never be returning. Here is the long version. Upon arriving we were not greeted by none of the staff. We waited at the door for about 5 minutes and as staff came and went said nothing to us. We felt silly for just standing and assumed it was self seating, and did so (many open tables not a particularly busy day) as we sat there we noticed the table had syrup and coffee stains looked at the other empty tables and were not clean either, no biggie we just waited for someone and ask for something to clean it with. And we waited… and waited. A gentleman and his wife came in and someone immediately went up to the door seated them and provided a menu to them. After 15 minutes seated a young lady comes up to us and asks if we’re ready to order, we said we had not received menus, she grabs the napkin dispenser with somewhat of a face and says you can scan here to see the menu and leaves. Keep in mind it was not obviously visible and since we saw others with actual menus we did not assume it was digital only. It must not have been more than 2 minutes before she left she returns and asks “are you ready to order now, we said “no” she turns and leaves. Needless to say I will never be returning to this establishment again. If you are looking for a place that serves similar dishes but with friendly service go a little ways down the road to the Coffee Spot. We went here for breakfast at 11:00am and the service and food took so long that we left around 1:00pm. When we arrived there were dirty empty tables and roughly 4 tables with people. We got our table and got told to scan the QR Menu, we sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the server to take our order. When the food finally arrived, 1 hour later, my omelette with vegetables and cheese, was just plain cooked egg and they had thrown on top of the egg the cheese and the vegetables. Usually the omelette is cooked with the veggies inside, incorporated. Not served separately. The bread tasted old. After we finished eating, we waited for the check and for the waitress to clear the table. She never came. We went to the register to pay. Not a good experience, we lost a lot of time for food that was not even good and bad costumer service. Almost 2 hours for one omelette and a sandwich...

Where do I start? AMAZINGGGGG BREAKFAST AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. My husband and I were traveling for a getaway in Isabela, which btw is beautiful!!! We were recommended to go here for brunch and I was expecting a regular good food with not so regular prices and boy was I surprised. First of all, I believe Michelle was our waiter, she was very kind, very attentive and very eager to provide an excellent experience. Second the menu is super delicious and overall economical. We order the All inclusive breakfast which is either an omelette or scrambled eggs with vegetables and cheese, with a side of bacon or ham, pancakes or French toast, chopped potatoes of all colors and toast for $11.99.
