Wow! Lindsey's has changed ownership and it certainly shows. I deleted my previous 5 star rating from 7 years ago because it is definitely NOT the same Lindsey's when John owned it up until late in 2024. I suggest you IGNORE all the Google Reviews prior to October of 2024 because things have changed and NOT for the better in my honest opinion.
We've had multiple mistakes on our orders several times now. One with the thigh snack pack where they did not include the 3 thighs and were not going to credit us for the shortage because we did not immediately report it. Thankfully one of the employees that knew we were long time customers gave us a credit but not until we had to argue the point. This happened on two separate occasions.
They gave us the wrong wings last night as we asked for our traditional barbecue with sauce but instead was given something entirely different as the seasoning was much hotter and spicier and definitely not barbecue. We did not call to report the mistake out of pure frustration knowing that nothing was going to be accomplished. When you arrive at home with your food, you simply want to sit down and enjoy what you supposedly paid for.
The window girls now ask you directly if you want to include a TIP. Never before when John owned the place did anyone at the window directly ask for tips. Imagine feeling you have to give a tip on food you don't even know if it is correct yet or tastes good. How about the owner simply pay their employees well enough so they don't feel they have to ask for a tips. I cannot imagine myself asking my customers for tips. Imagine if your package delivery driver asked you for a tip every time he delivered you a package for example.
VERY HIGH PRICES compared to all other pizza locations. We paid a total of $67.81 last night for 1 large pizza, an order of barbecue wings which was incorrect, a thigh snack pack (3 thighs, and a breast snack pack - 2 wings) I never minded paying higher prices when John owned it because he was very good to his employees and his employees were very good to us. Truly miss Pat at the window and several others that we had at the window for many many years.
The TASTE of the pizza has changed for whatever reason(s). Lindsey's pizza use to be the heaviest most dense flavor filled pizza you could find. Last night, our pizza had less taste and definitely less sauce. More like eating bread with a bit of sauce and cheese than the ratio of the three when John was owner.
The addition of the credit card fee is irritating and not charged by all pizza places. Again, when John owned Lindsey's and everything including the employees were top notch, I did not mind paying a credit card fee. Not so much now.
7). Can't forget the precision of the pepperoni placement on the square pizza slices when John owned the shop. Although the same very nice individual still works there sometimes making and cutting the pizza, you would have exactly 4 pepperonis per slice in precision placement on each corner. I often complimented him on that precision and detail. Pepperoni is now scattered about most of the time. A small but noticeable difference that certainly means less pepperoni on each pizza.
Unfortunately, we will not be returning to what was once the best pizza shop around in our opinion and I was around when Pizza Oven first opened on West Tusc back in the 1950's. We have a tradition at our house to have pizza every Saturday night and have a lot of experience with good and bad pizza locations over the years. We wish John the best in his retirement but will certainly miss his ownership and some of his excellent employees that...
Read moreGoogle apparently does not allow multiple reviews? Although my last one was years ago. Thank you everyone who makes a contribution to putting out the best food delivered by Lindsey Drivers! And not that door dash Uber eats bunch. These are Lindsey employees!
Food is always top notch! If you like it one way or the other.. you gotta say so kids.. I’m a “well done” student of the pie and wing.. you don’t like a lotta sauce? Say so. They’re on it kid.. no worries.
You call and don’t get an answer? Call back cause you’re gonna miss out and they’re always busy because once you find out, you’re going back. They’ll answer second time around and the efficiency is amazing.
All the delivery guys are on point. Bryan tonight put that Jimmy John samich place to shame like he was Santa Claus on a magic carpet. Give them time for traffic on the weekends, however I hung up the phone and he was already there! Boom!
ONLY PLACE IN TOWN THAT TOU CAN GET CELERY AND BLUE CHEESE/RANCH with your wings!!
I found them about five years back and check their delivery area before I move to a new place it’s that legit! I average five to six orders a month.
I’d buy shares if this was every became a publicly traded company on Wall Street! Mos definitely check this place out if you’re a local looking for something new or in town looking for the best pie/wings around.
Canton traffic can be misery, Tip your delivery!
Thank...
Read moreI woke up craving pizza today. It was all that I could think about. Like most of us, we have a preferred pizza place. I decided to go out of comfort zone and order from Lindsey's Pizza on Whipple. I have read such great things about this place.
I ordered: 18 Teriyaki Wings - they had the right amount of sauce on them and they were still crispy after I got them home.
A large pie with extra cheese and sausage - it is the crumbly sausage. That's my favorite!
A large pie with peppers, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and extra cheese. The mushrooms are the canned ones and I prefer those on my pizza over fresh one. The peppers were little cups of love. Not too greasy and the perfect crunch of the edges.
An order of meatballs. These were good but not my favorite because there are green peppers in the sauce and they aren't my jam. But the meatballs were tender and not overworked and tough. There didn't seem to be a ton of filler in them either. Which is great!
My son has a hard time trying new places. He was a little mad that I didn't get him pizza from his favorite place and was hesitant to try it. He did give the pizza a slow thumbs up. He just didn't want to admit that he liked it. 😂
We will definitely order...
