I in good faith cannot give this location any more than 1 star. On August 19th, I ordered 2 pizzas and some cheese bread - I placed my order at 3:50 - it’s expected completion time was 4:10 - I even showed up pretty late, around 4:25. My pizza was not ready - not only was it not even ready - it wasn’t even started lol. There was one employee working in the back, and he did not engage with anyone while 3 of us sat in the lobby just waiting. Finally a delivery driver who just came back walks in (doesn’t immediately acknowledge anyone either) until finally one lady who was waiting got his attention, explaining what she was waiting on. The delivery guy asks the man who’s working the pies what’s going on, what’s taking so long, etc, but he never truly engages in trying to help either. Eventually I think he may have boxed one pizza? None of ours, but somebodies lmao. A door dash driver even came in, waited for around 20 minutes, decided it wasn’t worth it and cancelled the pickup (this would eventually happen again with a different driver, for the same order) - finally the guy gets fully overwhelmed and says “I’m sorry everyone I have to call my manager” and he just walks out, leaving everyone in the lobby dumbfounded. Around 10 to 15 minutes later, an entire crew of people walk in, from the back (literally no idea where they came from) including what I assume is the manager, in her street clothes who immediately starts making pies (also unnerving, but there is no sanitation steps taken whatsoever by anyone - no gloves, no hand washing, nothing - just straight from wherever they walked in from, to touching food) - one younger woman who’s name I sadly did not catch actually starts taking charge, and instructing everyone on what to do - she asks what I’m waiting on, to which I inform her of my online order (which stated online that it was actually complete - which it most certainly was not) - eventually my cheese pizza and my cheese bread actually gets done, but it then proceeds to just sit on the warmer for the rest of the time I am in here (around 45 minutes at the least, from the point in which this pizza was done) my other pie, a pepperoni melt eventually gets prepped and cooked, and then just sits on the line for what felt like forever. Orders that certainly had to have been placed after mine are now going out the door, and they are for whatever reason still taking orders over the phone and telling them it’ll be about 25-30 minutes?? But I couldn’t get my one pizza done in a two hour time frame? And it’s not as if no one knew I was waiting, as I’ve now told the original delivery drive worker, and this young woman (who I don’t truly blame in this scenario - she tackled way more than she should have ever had to, with essentially no support) - Someone could call in and get their entire order ready before I received a pizza I ordered almost 2 hours ago?? I eventually get my one fresh(ish) pizza, and a pizza with bread that has now been sitting completed for around an hour, get thanked for my “patience” (what choice did I have?) and walked out. I ended up seeing the (manager?) at the side of the building, who was apparently on the phone with her gm - I asked what type of compensation or something could be done about this experience, and she told me to call her tomorrow (at the date of when this experience happened obviously) and she would make it right - I did not end up calling, because truly I just didn’t see a world where a solution I’d be content with would happen. I don’t want a free meal or anything, and my money back at that point would’ve only softened the blow of losing that much time, and being that frustrated. Honestly this was truly just one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had ever had anywhere. It’s a shame, because Marcos was one of the few pizza chains my girlfriend actually enjoys but I don’t see myself coming back to this location anytime soon unless some drastic change of...
Read moreI placed an online order at 7:31, 3 12 inch subs. I received my email confirmation stating approximate delivery time of 8:45. At 8:56 I called the store to verify my order was out for delivery and the girl said "yup" and hung up the phone. I receive the order and it is completely wrong. Every single sub seemed to be made however they wanted to make them. They were supposed to be a ham and cheese only sub, and 2 Italian subs with Italian dressing, mayo and lettuce. One of the Italian subs had tomatoe and onion, one had just tomatoe and the ham and cheese was covered in mayo. I called in at 9:00 and spoke to Kayla the manager who was completely unapologetic and said do you want them remade or a credit ? I told her this is my kids dinner so I would like them remade but i can't wait another hour and 40 minutes. She told me they had slowed down a lot and it would be made and sent right out. My husband called at 9:33 to see if they were on their way and she told him they had just walked out the door with a delivery driver. At 10:18 my husband attempted to call the store, sat on hold for 7 minutes and decides just to driver over to the store while on hold. He pulled into the parking lot still on hold, now for 12 minutes. All of the employees are standing around talking while he is sitting in the parking lot on hold. He walks in and tells them why he is there and lo and behold here are our subs FIFTY minutes after we were told they were out for delivery sitting on the counter. Sitting in the lobby is the manager, Kaylas mom, who starts verbally attacking my husband for being rude to her daughter!!!! Not only did our first order get made wrong, but then we are LIED to about the second order being out for delivery. It is now THREE hours past the first order timestamp, my kids haven't eaten dinner at 10:41 and he manager of your store is lying to us about our food being delivered. So my husband comes home with the subs that have been sitting there for who even knows how long and guess what, one of my 12 inch subs is now a 6 inch sub. They have been sitting so long they are cold and completely soggy, so cold the cheese that should have been melty and hot is cold and congealed and to top it off, the lettuce on the subs is brown and wilted and disgusting. We order from Marcos a lot, I've ordered pizza twice this week alone but I can almost assure you we will never order again. Not only was the delivery time ridiculous, our first order was made incorrectly, our second order was made incorrectly and was cold and disgusting but the manager, HER MOTHER, and the employee on the phone were extremely rude and unprofessional and outright lied to us about receiving our remade order KNOWING this is what I was feeding my kids for dinner. My husband is now at Taco Bell getting the family dinner at 10:45 in the evening when I originally ordered our dinner at 7:30...
Read moreEdit: For nearly 20 years, I frequently ordered from Marcos's at both home (161) and work (Worthington). I recently moved and Grove City is the closest location. Unfortunately, despite many attempts, they've never been able to get my order correct. The most recent order was such a disaster that I can no longer order from this location. It was Mother's Day and and I wanted pizza and my wife wanted a Caesar salad, specifically for croutons, so I ordered from Marco's and added a dessert. When I picked up my order, there were no paper plates, no forks, no icing on the cinnamon bread, no crust toppings, only one dressing packet, and no croutons in the pitiful salad! The only reason I even ordered from Marco's was croutons. They gave me a $10 credit, which doesn't cover the cost of the salad and cinnamon bread, much less the entire order. I don't want the credit because I don't want to order from this location again. I don't know if it's poor management or unsustainable budgeting from corporate, but the experience has severely plummeted. I would appreciate being contacted to resolve this issue.
Furthermore, Marcus has made it nearly impossible to communicate any issues. The app has no link to any contact information and the website option for this function is almost unusable. You can't type in your location and the map doesn't work, so you have to scroll through an entire list of every store, in no discernable order, and then the site glitches and you have to start over.
[Original Review] Marco's might be the best larger chain, so I was glad there was one close to the new neighborhood. Their deals are incredible, especially for the quality of the product. However, this location has missed my crust toppers all three times I've ordered. I'm starting to wonder if they really have garlic butter and...
