I want to give it a higher rating but I can't. 2nd visit here and this one was disappointing. First visit a couple of years ago was 5 star. We had to wait over an hour for a table for 8. I had call earlier in the week to request reservations and told me they didn't take any. So we anticipated some wait. Grabbed some drinks next door. Not taking reservations is a smart business decision from that perspective. We went to hostess and asked for an update. 1 party ahead of is so 15-20 minutes. We watched a large table sit empty while we waited. We were seated at a different table and another large party was seated a few minutes after us at that table. Waitress was OK. Nice but when she would tell us she would get us something we had to remind her. The food tasted good. I had french onion soup and steak salad. 5 of the 8 plates came out wrong. 2 were missing side dishes. 2 steaks overcooked, 1 under cooked. Food didn't come out at same time for the whole table. We think they may have switched 2 plates. One side of the table got there food almost 10 minutes before the other side. The person was 2/3 through their undercooked steak (too hungry to send it back after the 1 hour wait) when we realized they probably mixed them up. They did replace the overcooked steaks. Beer selection was good. Passed on the...

(Amazing food, excellent specials and wonderful service. They have very generous portions and quite the menu selection.) The top section in parentheses is a review I left a year ago.... Today it is even more under staffed. Every employee gives you a different response when asked about waitlists and reservations. We expected a wait so I'm not terribly surprised about being asked to wait outside for 10-15 minutes. This is personal opinion. I believe that they are way to understaffed to be seating the whole place and I'm not sure if I should be slightly concerned that they are continuously understaffed. We have been coming here for a while and it is always like this. If you are coming here during the evening on a weekend, be prepared for a wait. That being said the staff is very polite( although I wish they hadn't put us in a room with no noise absorption or music and a loud baby... I know babies are babies. They will make noise. But her family kept passing her around like a Thanksgiving turkey instead of consoling her.). The chicken salad grilled cheese I had was decent, the fried mushrooms were excellent and the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly( just a little to seasoned for my personal taste but...

My future husband Dustin took me here, I wanted to treat him for his birthday! 1st time here with my love. Once again he took care of our bill. I appreciate him I do and love him so much. The food was the most fantastic, and delicious tastes I have ever met with my picky taste buds. I will definitely be coming back! We had a delicious appetizer of firecracker shrimp and chicken Alfredo. He had breaded chicken and I had grilled. We did get fried green tomatoes, but it wasn't what this southern hometown girl was used to. They were good just different for me hard to explain. You should try them you may like them but do not pass on the shrimp if you enjoy a spice and shrimp and a creamy taste in your mouth. So worth it! Spending time with loving this man of mine and enjoying a great peaceful meal was worth it. The young lady server was onto of refills and asked just enough but never too much if we needed a thing. Our food was out within 25 min.s all hot and every was beautiful. Next time I will take pictures because there are artists of there craft. Hells Kitchen doesn't compare to there brilliance and I have been there! Try this heavenly place in Jaxson, Ohio you will...

We stopped in here on a Saturday because the in-laws suggested it. Aside from the HAIR fried into the tomato breading, it was really just ok at best. We tried the fried mushrooms, fried green tomatoes, steak sandwich, side salad and a Bloody Mary. Nothing was great. The salad was really not good. Some of the lettuce and all tomato was rotten and slimy and it had obviously been made much earlier as the shredded cheese was hard on top of the salad. The mushrooms were ok-breading was flavorless and soggy but they were large and there were a lot of them. The Bloody Mary was so sweet, just weird. The French fries were also not crispy but were probably the best part of the meal. Service was ok. Overall, it seemed like they had a lot of good ideas on the menu but it was just poorly executed and mostly tasteless. Sort of reminded me of going to an Applebees but with less quality control. I probably won’t try it again as this is the second chance I gave them. I wish it was still the old Colonial House where they always had excellent food.

This former residential home turned restaurant served my family a great lunch on a rainy Saturday. We had to wait just under ten minutes for a table feature the numerous dining areas in the restaurant. There’s also a separate bar area and outside dining. Once seated we were quickly greeted by a friendly and very busy waitress who was great. She bright us waters without asking and made several recommendations which we took. We had a cold pitcher of beer that arrived within minutes of ordering it. For lunch we had half an order of mushrooms that were nicely fried and tasted great. We split a hamburger (perfectly cooked) with cheddar and bacon on a fresh bun. Thinly sliced onion rings were the side. I loved the onion rings. We also split a chicken Philly that I adored to have served with provolone cheese ( check) no green peppers ( check). It was really good. It came with fries that I thought were ok but my sun really liked. All food came out hot and fast. Great pick for lunch in a rainy Saturday.

We're from out of town and needed a place to eat off of 32. Seemed to be a town favorite. The wait staff was super great. There was a hair brush and cleaning products on the fireplace next to my seat. ...ok someone forgot. The mushrooms were great and are served with ranch and cocktail sauce depending on ur palette. We got the specials. Sirloin with horseradish butter , scalloped potatoes and broccoli. My bf got the stuffed salmon and fetticini. I always say dont order a steak if its not a steak place. Oh well. It was chewy. But the seasoning and butter would have been great on a good cut ok f meat. I tried his salmon and pasta . It was good. Im sure if we were regulars we would return and find the best dishes. The waitress was so great, id definately go back. Id take the mushrooms again too.
