Central Creek Bistro Like Scott’s, it’s a difficult place to describe. Upon entering you’ll see the bar and a scattering of tables and an eclectic decor. The atmosphere is calm, not a bunch of noise beside the murmur of people at the tables, the music is held in the background and non-descript. Of course, we sat at the bar with a dozen or so seats and 2 bartenders. Our guy was normally a server but did a fine job bartending and explained clearly the items we asked about. It’s obvious the focus here is on the food. The finest dining experience I’ve had in Jackson. Notably there was no salt or pepper offered or needed, eat it how it was designed. Our appetizer was the quail, oh my, a light golden (panko?) breading, deep fried and served with a grilled lemon, which seemed flavored with a balsamic or maybe just grill flavoring. All I know is it went perfectly on the quail. My entrée was the Snapper, which was explained to be flown in daily. Light and flaky with a wonderfully seared crust, it sat on a bed of creamed spinach, with grilled carrots stacked on the side. The portion was as you’d expect from fine dining, this is not a diner dish. My wife didn’t see the filet and got a Patty Melt, sans grilled onion, I know, making it a cheeseburger. The white bread they used was grilled with a perfect browning giving it an amazing flavor. In fact, I was so enamored with the taste of the bread I couldn’t tell you about the meat. Shoestring French Fries fried in tallow! In the end, it is worth the $100 and kinda cheap for one of our date nights. They had my signature High Life and a decent selection of top shelf liquor. All in all, the experience was great. We will go back, besides the filet and Greek salad, I want to try the Chef’s Sampler, which for $90 per person, (requires entire table) gets you 5 courses of the chef’s choice. Let me know...

Cocktails were good, never got the time to recommend, but would reccomend to bartenders to remember to wake up up the basil garnish, and on their Herbalist to maybe stir a little longer and after waking up basil to push down so you dont need a straw 😁 it was maybe a tiny lemon heavy.
Paper plane was perfect, and in fact I think the bourbon choice of Weller made a big positive difference. Maybe a longer shake would have been the only improvement.
The swizzle was good, still curious the ratio difference, lol, between that and an "official" chartreuese swizzle. But it was good, no recos for improvement.
They serve fernet, and a reasonable price. ($5 plus tax a shot)
For Jackson, the cocktails... this is the best. They could stir and shake a little longer, but it doesnt get any better in Jackson, best cocktails in Jackson.
I didnt have any food so i cannot speak to the food prices, but the cocktail prices were CORRECT. Exactly correctly priced cocktails. If anything, a tad on the higher end, but for the whole thing, correct.
Everyone here was very kind, and I had a great time....
Read moreWe had the best time recently at Central Creek for a friend’s birthday dinner. The restaurant was lovely and a great place to gather with friends, and the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Of all things in this fantastic experience, the food was by far the highlight of the evening. We had two in our party with strict diets, myself and a friend, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our chef, Zach, created the most amazing meals for us and personally accompanied them out to describe each dish. It’s one thing to have an option at a restaurant for those with dietary restrictions, but our minds were blown by the care and creativity Zach put into each dish. They were absolutely delicious, and his extensive culinary talent was evident in both the taste and presentation in all of his creations. Zach truly elevated what was already a wonderful experience into something truly special for myself and my friends. We have all recommended Central Creek to everyone, and we look forward to dining...
