My emarrassing, horrifying visit to keifer's.
On July 19th, 2018. I went to a dinner party for my little sister. Once dinner was over we proceeded to the front counter so we could pay our bill. Once we were there, even after they had split the bill for others in front of us. They refused to split the bill for our party. I was in the back and proceeded to the front to find out why ew we're still waiting. As I rounded the corner I overheard the manager "George George" as he told us, accusing us of trying to steal from him. I found that to be perposterous. I pride myself on being honest and paying my bills. After all, I was in line to pay. My sister asked "George George" to please give us some customer service, when he began to yell and scream at her. I tried my best to stay calm and I began to look around the room for the children in our party. They had retreated to the front porch out of fear. My brother in law then yelled back at "George George" for speaking to his wife that way when an officer Ober yelled back at my brother. I then mentioned we had little children outside cowering in fear and was rudely told that we lead children by example. They were misleading our children. We just wanted to pay the bill.
Don't take your children here. Don't have a party here because they can't give you customer service and they can't add and subtract

Read moreWe are Keifers regulars, but our service the last several times we’ve been has left MUCH to be desired! I normally would not post a negative review, but after so many bad service issues, I feel that it’s necessary. Historically, our issue has been very rude servers, but the food made up for it. Tonight’s meal was awful. Although our server was very kind, he was VERY slow. He forgot my fiancé’s beer (the same beer) twice. We ordered hummus as an app, but he forgot to write down the app order (at least that’s how it appeared), so we received our entrees (which were COLD after our long wait) and did not receive our hummus app. We ordered extra tziki sauce with our gyros and specifically asked for NO feta but ketchup instead with our cottage fries. Instead, the serve brought NO tziki sauce, NO ketchup, and brought the feta we specifically requested that he did not bring for our meal. It then took over TWENTY minutes just to get the ketchup he forgot! He also forgot my fiancé’s second beer (again). I completely understand forgetting minor details like condiments, but it was a meal full of forgotten drinks/dishes and extremely slow service! The only thing we received in return for our issue was a small beer. The cold food and extra long dinner time due to the slow service was very...
Read more“These are all pictures of Paradise!” a child marveled as she left with her family. She’s not wrong—technically the art depicts Greece and its surroundings—but even the menu is a picture of Paradise, a more earthly and delicious kind. Keifer’s started serving Mediterranean plates in 1981, before "the Mediterranean diet" was a thing, when nobody knew how to eat a pita or what falafel is. That’s why their menu still explains it, and calls tzatziki ‘zazeeki sauce’. Service is swift, competent, thoughtful, and simple. When you walk in, go past the people waiting to pay at the register and choose a table. Menus are available for newbies like us who didn’t already know what we wanted, but most customers are loyal regulars who already have their favorites memorized. Your drinks and food will arrive so fast you’ll marvel at the kitchen’s practiced excellence, along with your check for when you’re done, but refills arrive before you even have to ask. We drove up and heard the music playing on the patio: “Grease is the word.” It’s not greasy, but at Keifer’s, Greece...
