Westland plaza is a very average strip mall shopping destination. It has been struggling for years but as of late seems to be making a slow comeback. It has a grocery store a family dollar two beauty supply stores a newly added hair braiding place and some clothing stores as well as a dentist blood bank and wireless store and a very good chinese food restaurant. It also has a Baskin Robbins a Walgreens and a new restaurant called steamers which sells seafood and other American fare also. Some people use it as their go to shopping place but most use as a quick stop when they don't want to go deal with longer lines in the bigger neighborhood stores such as wal mart or kroger...

I purchased a lunch from the grocery store deli. The servers were friendly, but the food was horrible! The greens were overseasoned with pepper ( like someone accidently used the pour hole, and still served them to me without stirring...also tasted like they were straight from a can with onions chopped inside of it. ) The cornbread was undercooked, and taste so bad I couldn't eat it! (Like someone forgot to add the eggs.) Someone definitely was having a bad day that day! And I paid around $10 for that meal! I went to the plasma place, its always been a pretty decent, never had any problems over there. U do have to careful in that area, like just keep yo head on a swivel, and not for what u would think(someone trying to rob anyone). sometimes, well honestly it's quite often, people will get into altercations and allegedly discharge firearms.
