Good diner food.
This restaurant came highly recommended by one of my coworkers. I had a coffee which was serviceable, corned beef hash which was delicious, and biscuits which were the best I've had in Michigan. Wait staff was friendly and efficient despite being obviously busy.
It was a different take on corned beef hash, a little more crisp like they were cooked fast in higher heat but in enough fat/oil as to brown but not burn at all. They weren't greasy at all either but still had plenty of flavor. The biscuits are cut before serving and browned on the inside in butter on the griddle. I've never had biscuits like that but they were the star of the show.
I saw a few other breakfast specials I was interested in trying so I'll have to swing by again sometime and test the other fare. I have high hopes and recommend you give this little cafe a shot if you...
Read moreWherever you are, wherever you are going, if you love truly classic American diners, you have to make an effort to visit the Roxy. Great vibe, fun servers, big menu... and if you are low carb or keto, plenty of choices to start your day right!! Poached eggs and thick cut bacon? Yes please!
Found Roxy on our way from Chicago to Ann Arbor. What a gem. Now it's a mandatory stop if we are anywhere within 50 miles of Jackson (which, btw, is a cool old county seat).
Feeling like you are up for something special? Who can beat their "Yuppie Breakfast" with eggs, bacon... and bottle of Dom! Or a breakfast that comes complete with a new Harley? Haha!! Keep an eye out: the menu has a lot of hilarious "special case" breakfasts like this!
Roxy Cafe - solid gold.
Parking around back - and yes, you can cut through the kitchen backdoor as long as you don't...

I tell the waitress she brings me out another omelette and it's got a bunch of mushrooms with ham and onions. Not even what I ordered. So I then again contact the waitress. She brings me out a third one and that too had hair in it. So if you don't like hair, don't eat there The waitress that waited on me had long brown hair wears it in a ponytail and she and another waitress that's kind of snotty. We're sitting around saying welcome to Roxy's where you get free food and free forks. So won't be returning because of the snide remark, the two waitresses made. Trina works there and...
