Just at the H.O.D,s apparently they have no way to count there drawer. Ive been client since the 1980’s unfortunately I will never eat my favorite dog again. I personally installed a stereo system in the van when they opened a remote location (downtown) for Don the owner. So I’m hungry driving right buy and Order lunch pay with a 50.00 dollar bill, take food and change. Go around the corner and eat. Stop and pick up a pop at the store and noticed that i only received 21.00 in change back? (I was floored at how poorly this was handled, I’ve been in retail management for 40 year's} i was told in very poor English that they can’t reimburse the money BECAUSE THEY CAN’t count there drawer out because ? They don’t have a cash register??? Yes read that again, well if you don’t have a cash register? How are you going to accomplish this task?? Very unfortunate customer service to say the least. They take my name and number and tell me….They’ll get back to me. She at that point told me they’re old fashioned and do it the old fashioned way. I said awesome. Count out your drawer and lets take care of this. She tells me she cant do this. (No cash register) Its easy to count out a drawer it starts with a number 100.00 typically, add sales minus change and see if the numbers equal to what they should in This case they will be 20 heavy. This whole issue could have been resolved very easily buy counting out the drawer (cash register)but wasn’t. At that point I’m exhausted (Im old) and now confused as to how I’ll get my correct change( no register) and i live 30 miles away it’s going to cost me money to get MY MONEY BACK! BUT I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. Now we’re going to check there honesty. I had 50.00 when i paid 8.50 for lunch. I RECEIVED 21.00 and change for my 50.00 Very easy calculation. It’s unfortunate that customer service has evolved to the point of NONE. This should have been a very easy management task. Could have it in my SLEEP. Sorry for the rant. After being in customer service for over 40 years its come to...
Read moreOnly reason for a 1 as zero wasn’t available. I order from here atleast twice a month. Recent visit I waited four cars back and when I got to the window I mentioned something was missed as total seemed wrong. The individual says to me we repeated the order and you ok’d it. I said I can’t believe you just said that to me as obviously if I heard you I would have not ok’d it as I needed 8 chili dogs. He said he couldn’t give me the 8 as another customer was at the speaker ordering. I told him to keep what they thought my order should be and I will never purchase from here again. There were so many other ways he could have handled this, he chose to lose business and not just my business but anyone I know will not eat there either.
Again the reply to this assumes I heard the order repeated back. I did not hear the order repeated back even after I added cookies. Along with there were no other customers in line be hind me. One person pulled around as I was driving out. Again this could have been handled differently to obtain my business. Don’t assume that this was customer responsibility. How about let me correct your order and if you could pull around and come inside while we get it ready then our drive thru won’t be jammed up. I was not rude when I said I think an item was missed. The male that waited on me was rude no matter how many ways you look at it. Take responsibility as an owner...
Read moreI'm sitting here enjoying a homemade chocolate chip cookie from The International Dog House. One we picked up earlier when we squeezed in our SECOND trip there this week, just to hold us over on their week long-break for the 4th of July. I haven't written too many reviews but given how much our little family looks forward to and thoroughly enjoys our regular meals here, I feel this one is well deserved.
There aren't many places left where you can feed your family for $20, but at IDH, you can and it's delicious everytime. It's also hard to pass up desserts that take you back to childhood, when your mom used to bake cookies.
The sign out front couldn't be more accurate: "The places that becomes a habit". If you haven't tried this place yet...
