I’m giving it a 2 because of the atmosphere it’s very outdated I’ve lived in Jackson county since 2007 & it had 1 renovation the seating is very old booths & dining tables carpet… no type of ambiance no privacy room for the staff to mingle you just see them do whatever the bathroom are not clean as they should be basically it’s no entertainment at all I get it’s a family spot but it’s small & I believe the consumers would like if they bring back the all you can eat seafood Buffet & update the restaurant please they gotten ppp loans for the staff and business but stayed thriving during the pandemic with seafood boil bags which are excellent & hire some of the Natives like the beauty supply store Black,White,Brown Jackson is a diverse area we wouldn’t mind to see people who will greet you & be kind to our elders 🤷🏾♂️sometimes a small conversation and simple gesture can go a long way with tips & new customers try more Asian cuisine I never seen you guys cook anything on Habatchi rotation of the American food not all but some do better fried chicken & fish please …. But the mac&cheese pizza, onion rings , BBQ ribs Rotate the American foods or do without ( again ) chicken strips baked or grilled chicken fried okra have greens meatloaf & have a survey you guys actually check because it’s only 2 buffet in Jackson & you guys we ok but when old county was open & Ponderosa was open you guys were struggling both buffets and now y’all came up so put it into the restaurant and I’m positive y’all will get more people and make more money & do something for this community all you guys do is take and receive make some plates for the shelters give discount for students get a soft serve machine it’s weird you guys don’t have 1 slushy machine coffee and tea stand but that’s it the food is a...
Read moreFirst off, I have been in Vancouver BC for the last few years and fell in love with sushi, so when I came home to visit my parents and saw that Jackson finally got a sushi place I was excited to take my dad there to try it. Total letdown. They had a very limited selection of nigiri and rolls, all of which you could tell was not fresh at all. The nigiri had paper thin slices of fish, the salmon was warm and sticky, the tuna had an odor and looked half cooked so I wouldn't touch them. The rolls were a little better, but all of the rice was dried out and sticky. On the other hand, I'm glad we tried their hot food first, otherwise I would not have paid for the horrible sushi and just left. They did have a very broad selection of hot dishes and hibachi items, most of which were decent. Not overly salty like some buffets, but lacking in any flavor overall. My dad was disturbed by that fact that he had to go thru 4 plates to get a clean one. The tables, booths, and bathrooms appeared clean tho. The staffs hospitality could use some work. Not one employee smiled, the young man that showed us to our table barely said 2 words when asking what drinks we wanted, the young lady that brought the drinks never said a word or smiled or even looked at us. Not one of them said enjoy, thank you, have a nice day, nada, yet when we paid they sure expected a tip. I understand Asian culture is a bit different from American culture, but that's not the issue here and certainly no way to treat paying customers and expect them to come back. And we most certainly will...
Read moreAte there last night and woke up sick to my stomach. It's the only thing I had to eat yesterday and I didn't even eat very much because it all tasted... Eh, just ok. Hot wasn't hot and cold wasn't cold so I don't think they have the temps right at the serving tables. The shrimp wasn't deveined (de-pooped) GROSS! Glad I noticed before I ate it but I suppose the cooked shrimp could've been and probably was the same. The silverware was filthy. The rest of the place seemed clean as it should since it's brand new. The "server" was friendly and attentive (as far as asking if I wanted more pop every 30 seconds). I found it odd that they were all wearing nice, clean, black uniforms while the hostess wore jeans and a t-shirt. She was out front smoking a cigarette when we were walking up so I assumed she was a customer until she walked in and seated us. Not a big deal, I just found it odd. I also found it odd that they had big tip jars at the hibachi and sushi stations. So, not only am I to pay for my food that I have to go and get but I'm supposed to tip you for cooking it and then tip my server on top of that??? who literally brought us 2 pops and dirty silverware and that was her entire job??? 1st time, last time here. I'll stick to picking up from China City and taking it home to eat. Like another reviewer said, I don't understand how this place is getting 4...
