DO NOT GO TO THIS SONIC UNLESS YOU WANT TERRIBLE SERVICE AND SIX WRONG ORDERS BEFORE YOU GET THE RIGHT ONE...
When ordering I said "Two small vanilla Butterfinger shakes." The employee read me back my order as, "Two small Butterfinger shakes." I told her that was correct, she asked me for anything else and that was it. I payed for my order, and waited patiently. When the carhop came to my car she had one shake on her and it had a regular lid on it, which made me suspicious... I've worked at Sonic before and shakes with regular lids mean no whipped cream. Low and behold, the shake wasn't mine and was a plain vanilla shake. I decide to take matters into my hands and go up to the door to correct them once again. Everyone stared at me then the "Manager" who came to car later was standing at the counter and finally acknowledged me after a moment. A man came to the door, INSTEAD of the "Manager" and took the incorrect shake, then someone else brought me the correct one... THENNNN after finally getting MY SHAKE, I make it back to the car to wait for the other one to be corrected.... FINALLY, some boy came to the car with ANOTHER REGULAR LID CUP... I said to him, "Is this a Butterfinger shake?" and he told me to check it...so I took the cup from him and plainly written on the cup is a letter, V.
You all can imagine what V stands for.... VANILLA. I AM LAUGHING OUT LOUD - WOW. OKAY, SO..... Obviously, this isn't my shake either.... This time I decide to get the "Manager" to my stall. I pressed the red button and asked for the "Manager." She came to my car and NOT ONCE APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR INCONVENIENCE. GO FIGURE.... SHE DIDN'T EVEN ADDRESS THE SUBJECT WHEN SHE WALKED UP - All I received from this "Manager" was a blank stare like I had just gotten HER SHAKE WRONG.
After repeating my order like 5 times to her, to instill this SIMPLE order into her head she finally goes back (without truly solving this problem) to I guess fix my order... AND FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM ON TOP OF THIS STORY
WHEN I FINALLY GOT MY SECOND SHAKE, the boy who previously had me check the SECOND wrong shake brought out the (What finally is the right shake) and says.... LOL.....
"Was this supposed to have whipped cream?" ...."Yeah, but after this... I don't care." Was all I could muster up...
This is a pathetic excuse for an...
Read moreWhat can I say? Sonic is just Sonic. It meets a mediocre standard at best within our family, a place that we frequent far too often, mainly due to the lack of reliable fast-food restaurants in Jackson.
Sonic maintains its consistency, for what that's worth. Consistency is important and many times often undervalued. The reason consistency is so important, in any area, whether really good or really bad, it allows one to know beforehand, exactly what can be expected. This is important primarily because people don't like to feel let-down. And this will only become even more important than ever, as we live in a world where many experience ever-increasing feelings of being disappointed, may this never become an acceptable social norm.
So we go to Sonic. Most of the time they are open when they say they're going to be open. However, their food, which frequently enjoys a higher price tag these days, is quickly approaching the cut-off point, at which time quality can no longer demand such large premiums. Certainly if Sonic fails to maintain its very low standard of quality, I anticipate a mass exodus to any food chain that even slightly raises the bar.
Sonic's dessert items remain one of their best strengths. It's practically the only venue to get a decent milkshake, although the Cookout offers nearly a larger collection but they have issues with consistency, something Sonic has almost perfected, even if it is barely acceptable with the quality of its product.
So for now, we continue to visit this place, It wouldn't take a huge effort for us to all-together vacate that chain. However, until a viable alternative emerges, we will maintain...
