One of my favs. This has to be one of the top dining establishments in the Jacksonville area. Intimate, cozy, outdoor dining available. Fab menu and super wait staff. Have never had a bad experience here and the cuisine is top drawer and always consistent. Bar area up front fills up fast. Valet parking. Here's an update 5-28-2023: Not our first visit to Eleven South. It still ranks as one of the finest in Jax Beach. This time it was a Saturday over Memorial Day Weekend so there was quite a crowd. Standing room only at the bar and people waiting to be seated. Believe me, the wait is worth it. The atmosphere is busy however seating inside or on the patio is still pleasant. White table linens forecast a fine dining experience. The wait staff is exceptional,. Our waiter, Parker, is one of the most outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable we have seen in any local restaurant. Service by the wait staff is efficient and responsive. As far as the cuisine goes, it is always exceptional. Try the Royal Red Shrimp appetizer. The steaks be it a filet, rib eye, or NY Strip are as tender and tasty as any of the local fine steakhouses and the prices are competitive. Yes, they charge for bread however it is one of the finest baguettes around and is accompanied by four dipping possibilities including butter. Parking is by valet which is also friendly and efficient. There are just too many fine dishes on the menu so try any of them, you will not be disappointed. 2nd update we dined once again at Eleven South and as always the dishes were excellent the special duck appetizer was out if this world, the special flounder dish outstanding, the rack of lamb done to perfection the royal red shrimp always a great choice. The NY Strip done as well as any fine steakhouse as was the filet. Try the French fries topped with parmesan and the basket will feed thecwhole table.

We parked right on the 3rd street, easier to get out, there is a parking in the front of the restaurant, also valet parking available. Once you come Inside there is a nice bar to sit at and have appetizers and drink, while you have a view at partially open kitchen concept. We ordered Margarita and Ken Wright pinot, very good pinot. The atmosphere was warm and cheerful. I only think there was too much smoke coming out from the kitchen for some reason, smelling as grilled steaks. The lady bartenders were both very helpful, kind, and to the point with our order. Then,we moved to the dining area, we sat outside at the porch. There was also the choice of sitting in closed inside dining area. The outside porch area was cozy, with enough lights, including table electric candles. The table had white table cloth, nicely decorated with starting dishes including water glasses with presentable white napkins in them. There was fresh flowers at the table. Our waiter was proffesional, advised us of the dinner specials.I wish there were more of reccomendations of wine pairings with the dinner. The atmosphere was perfect, with a bit noise, but great for good dinner conversations. We ordered appetizer, escargot, and for main entrée, a steak with carrots and sauted spinach, and schrimp spinach salad. The food was well presented, well served and tasted delicious. Worth the price. I would have added a bit of sauce with the schrimp on the salad, however it tasted good. For a desert, we chose cream Brule, crusty on the top, soft inside, with berries on the top,it was tasteful combination. In overall, the dining experience was pleasant, and we will come back to enjoy the atmosphere and try other dishes.

I want to start by acknowledging that the food was excellent and our waiter was both friendly and attentive. However, there were several issues that significantly impacted our dining experience. Our large party was seated near the kitchen, in a narrow hallway, which was not ideal for a group of our size and contributed to a crowded atmosphere which proved to be problematic later on. After finishing dinner, we ordered coffee, and unfortunately, another waiter rushing through the hallway collided with our waiter, resulting in hot coffee spilling on me, particularly behind my ear, causing burns. This was a painful and distressing incident that required medical attention. The manager’s response was disappointing. She offered me one free drink as compensation, which felt inadequate considering the severity of the incident even if it was an accident. I suggested that perhaps offering drinks to my friends would be more appropriate, implying that one drink was not sufficient. When the check arrived, there were no adjustments made to the bill to reflect the incident or our inconvenience (which they fixed later). The cost of the medication and the visit to urgent care far exceeded the compensation offered. The lack of a sincere apology and meaningful compensation, especially after spending over $1,000 on dinner, left a negative impression on me and the rest of our group. While I understand that accidents can happen, the response from the management was not in line with the high level of service we expected given the circumstances and the amount we spent. I hope the restaurant can take this feedback seriously to improve their customer service and handling of such incidents in the future.

First time here. We came for our wedding anniversary. They have complementary valet parking. Once we came through the doors it was bustling with people. We had a 6:45 reservation. We did get there early, about 6:15 so we did have to wait. They don't have any seating or anywhere to wait until your table is ready. There is a table and a couple chairs outside. We just waited by the bar. It was very busy and packed with diners. Even the bar was full. The hostess did come over and let us know they were turning over the table and that we will be seated shortly. We were seated at exactly 6:45. Shay was our server. He was awesome! He gave us the full experience. He told us about the history of the restaurant and explained the specials and also his favorites on the menu. We started with the mussels which were under seasoned for our taste. But they were very generous and took it off the bill. For our entrees, I had the salmon and I added 3 scallops. My husband had the Frutti di Mare pasta. Both our entrees were so delicious! The mussels in the pasta were better than the appetizer mussels. We devoured them both. They also were kind and thoughtful enough to give us a complimentary creme brulee for dessert. The custard was delicious but the burnt sugar was too burnt for me. Overall we enjoyed our first time at Eleven South. We see why they are highly rated. We will return but will definitely pick a slower and less crowded night. Per the valet, Sunday through Tuesday are slower days.

The initial service is what threw off my mood. I went for my anniversary and there was a gentleman in a Grey suit (I'm assuming management) and three hostesses looking at a screen. We stood there for several moments and were not acknowledged or greeted. The only reason I feel we were finally acknowledged moments later is because I spoke up and said something. I said to my partner "I guess we will be seated when we are acknowledged". One of the hostesses then showed us to our table. I want to add that neither the hostesses or manager came to apologize to us at all for that incident. He did , however, make sure to visit all the surrounding tables and make sure they were doing well. Our server was very nice and well mannered, him checking on us the few times he did made up for the fact that we waited over an hour for our main courses. Though I understand that was no fault of his own. This experience left me in a bad mood on my anniversary night. I enjoy fine dinning and originally wanted to go to Matthew's but we both wanted to try something new and decided on this place because of the reviews. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience that others had. I won't be back, nor will I suggest this place to any of my friends and colleagues. The resturant itself is nice, I usually like to post pictures and videos on tiktok and Instagram from the places I go. I wasn't even in the mood to do that since I left in such bad spirits.

Going to have to go 5 stars with this one! We eat out at fine dining restaurant's fairly often. I have a large family (6 children) and most of them thoroughly enjoy good food. We often get weird looks and sometimes mediocre service because of our large family. That was not the case here. Our waiter was absolutely attentive and very eager to serve us. For appetizers we had the muscles, octopus and short rib spring rolls. Muscles were just ok. The Octopus was very good and actually cooked perfect. We have ate at a lot of restaurants that completely overcook the octopus and make it chewy and just not good. This was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Very enjoyable. The short rib spring rolls were very good. Very, very good. I was not expecting much, but definitely was impressed. For entrees, we had the new York strips, duck breast, salmon and seafood paella. Every dish was seasoned and cooked well. We left no room for dessert. We were thoroughly satisfied with all the dishes. Our waiter was down to earth and made our evening very enjoyable. Definitely be back here again!
