I write this review as an avid hibachi enthusiast—the only thing I wanted for my 28th birthday was to enjoy the sweet taste of sake as it cascades from a squirt bottle into my mouth and feel the thrill of shrimp flying in the air. Instead, I was gifted with a hibachi experience that could cure even the most severe case of insomnia. The chef was so low energy, at one point I thought that we would have to locate a defibrillator to revive him. To make matters worse, our onion volcano only had two layers—a true travesty. We were deprived of the joy of choo choo trains, rice hearts, flying shrimp etc. not to mention that our chef fumbled his knives no less than three times, brick hands. I will probably cry myself to sleep tonight because my birthday was ruined by the snooze fest of a hibachi chef, the only thing that is giving me hope to carry on is that the steak was pretty tasty so at least there’s that.

To all the other little boys in Duval looking for a special place to celebrate their birthday, I urge you to learn from my mistakes and seek your birthday entertainment elsewhere, perhaps a local...

I went this afternoon and made a reservation for this evening. When we arrived we were not greeted at the door. When we finally were the lady asked how many people we had. I told her we had a reservation and she said "ohhhhh" very concerningly. She then pulled the post it off the desk showing my reservation and put it on the counter. After that, everyone that was waiting was still sat before us. We finally got a table at 6:50. It then took 15 MINUTES to get our drink order. Another 30 mins before she came back to get our food order. Our appetizers were never brought out. I asked 3 different people for a booster, including the owner, and never got one. He even walked past us several times after and still never brought one. When we got our food the portions were so small. My son's side of noodles was less than 1/4 cup. We never had our drinks refilled so we ate our food with no drinks. We were there for over two hours!! I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but this was beyond ridiculous. Not one person there acknowledged the bad service or long wait times..Not one apology or even a statement. Truly...

I never write bad reviews but this is the worse hibachi place I’ve ever been to. The staff seemed annoyed with us and if they didn’t want a 1:30 pm reservation they shouldn’t have taken it. We were the only costumers in there and they close at 3 pm. The waitress didn’t like that we were sitting at 2 tables. Our originally reservation was 11 and we added 2 more. I could understand them being upset with the 2 addl people but NO other customers were eating. The chef was not entertaining, barely spoke to us and he appeared to have an attitude. There were also eggs shells all in the rice. The meat had no flavor and for the price we paid, I expected more food and not 6 tiny pieces of steak and 6 tiny pieces of chicken. I could have gotten more food at Panda Express. The service was slow and again, we were the only customers in there. The food was over priced for the cost and I was not going to tip but they added it into our bill. Will never visit here again. Overall experience was disappointing and none of the food looked like the pictures. We were celebrating our sons...
