UPDATE Oct 21 2023 - received email from the general manager of this location, apologizing for the terrible experience. Unfortunately the slow response from the corporate office to get the GM to email me leaves me with no desire to try this restaurant chain ever again. I consider this matter closed. UPDATE Oct 19 2023 - no word from the local operator/GM or response from my two follow-up emails to Moe Mokbel who initially offered the meal vouchers. I don't want free food I want an apology from the local operator or GM from this restaurant.
UPDATE Oct 16 2023 - received an email from corporate office apologizing and vouchers for two meals. Greatly appreciated but I declined since I am not local to the Jacksonville area. Express that this review needs to be shared with local operators/GM of this restaurant. I would be happy if the actual GM of this particular restaurant made a public apology on this review.
UPDATE Oct 14 2023 - I have emailed the corporate office twice via the contact us link and no reply. And yet newer review on Google has received feedback. Guess this restaurant can't take the truth.
Original review - Oct 6 The statement on their website "Proud to be voted one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville (2022)" is laughable after our experience today.
Walk in on a Friday Oct 6 around 930. Wasn't full but it was busy. We were immediately seated at table by the hostess that seated six which was odd since we were a party of two.
Our hostess after sitting us didn't say anything of who would be waiting on us. The table was next to waitress/waiter station so the staff were constantly going by us.
Five minutes pass - no word of "we will be with you shortly" or asked if we wanted coffee. By this time, we had decided what we wanted to order so I put our menus aside a sign that we were ready. More staff stops at the waitress/waiter station but doesn't turn around to ask us if we had been helped.
Now it's been ten minutes since coming in and I observe a group of three ladies get seated at table for four next to us. Within a minute a waitress coming out of the kitchen says to them "I will be right with you". We had enough and left utterly disappointed.
Hopes whoever was managing the wait staff Friday Oct 6 sees this and properly teaches their team to acknowledge all customers. A simple acknowledgement of "I will be right with you"...

The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated quickly, even though the place had a good weekend buzz. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between casual and upscale, making it ideal for anything from a low-key meal to a special occasion brunch.
Now, let’s talk about the food—wow. Every dish we ordered was delicious, thoughtfully presented, and cooked to perfection. The menu is creative yet approachable, with something for everyone. From savory to sweet, every bite tasted fresh and elevated. (If you’re a fan of anything with hollandaise, you’re in for a treat.)
But what truly set this brunch apart was the service. Brenda, our waitress, was an absolute gem. She was warm, attentive, and had the kind of upbeat energy that made the whole experience even better. She knew the menu inside and out, made great recommendations, and never missed a beat. Our drinks stayed full, the timing between courses was just right, and we never once had to flag her down—she was always one step ahead.
Brenda is the kind of server who makes you feel like you’re the only table in the restaurant, even when the place is hopping. She turned an already great brunch into something memorable.
Whether you’re a regular or thinking about trying Another Broken Egg for the first time, go for it. Come hungry, and if you’re lucky enough to have Brenda as your server, you’re in for an outstanding experience.
10/10. Can’t wait...
Read moreSo now that the world is a bit more accessible, my husband and I and our best friends ventured to Jacksonville for a drive and stopped at Another Broken Egg Cafe on a whim for brunch. I'm still very cautious of my personal space and we had our dog so their outdoor dining patio was what led us there. I gotta say we made the right choice. First off, Ed our server was on point and very professional, welcoming and efficient throughout service. They immediately brought our dog a bowl with ice water and accomodated his needs first. Then the amazing mouth-watering menu. You cannot go wrong with any choice you make. We had the "Hey Lucy" Omelette with chorizo, the Lobster and Brie Omelette (Omg...there are no words), the Smoked Salmon Benedict, the Lemon Custard stuffed French Toast, the Benedict Burger and finally the Ipanema Estate Coffee Pancakes. Everything was out of this world delicious! To top it off I had the best Peach Bellini ever! Try their pineapple juice and sweet tea too, so refreshing! AND... La piece de resistance, the Beignets with a honey orange marmalade dipping sauce that was to die for. If you're looking for traditional french fries with your burger lunch, they're not available here folks. But their Fresh Country Potatoes are a pretty good substitution. We'll definitely be returning every time...
