The food was horrible and service was even worse. The ace is always crowded so we decided to give it a shot. We pulled up place smelled amazing we were excited to go in and eat GOOD. 1st disappointment they did not have a high chair for the 1yr old. Next when the waitress came to take our drink order my son asked her what kind of lemonade do you have ? Do you have strawberry with the strawberries? No answer she asked the next person what they wanted she brought my son back pink lemonade ( we shrugged that off as not knowing English that well) next the food came it was horrible however we had to wait almost 10 min for our utensils. Do you know this lady never came back to give us a refill? It was 6 of us out to eat 3 kids 3 adults. The food was horrible the ground beef taste like dog food (honestly I don't know what dog food taste like but if it has a taste it probably tast better than this. We had ordered the Mexican wings we messed those up they were good no flavor but you had the Buffalo sauce to did it in and being that every thing else with ground beef was gross it made the wing delicious as that's all we ate. No drink to was that nasty stuff down . When waitress brought the check she say yall didn't eat you want box? We said no didn't like it and we don't need a box. I'm sure the crowed is there for the drinks. If you are not a drinker save your time and money. We spent 160 and it was the nastiest mess ever. If you are going with a party and you must go get the wings you can't go wrong there. Don't get anything qith ground beef in it . It wasn't even...
Read moreAtmosphere is nice. Ventilation would be appreciated for those of us who can't stand the smell of fajitas. The entire restaurant gets all smoky with every order. It's very squishy inside. They've definitely packed the area with as many tables as possible. Hostess was Non accommodating when it came to seating. We asked for a table not a booth and she refused to let us sit at 1 of the 2 open tables just in case a bigger party was going to show up. The staff can't get around without bumping into each other which, I wouldn't care about except they kept hitting my friend across from me as there were 2 people on the opposite side of my booth. The salsa is fancy looking tomato sauce. There are absolutely no jalapeños at all in there. Needs garlic & cilantro. No authenticity at all. The drinks are amazing! I ordered the coconut margarita. . Perfect amount of everything. The coconut-like cup it comes in is super cute & the fresh berries & edible orchid take it up a notch. It would've been even better if it was $8 instead of $10. I came in wanting the tower, however after finding out the price plus the 18% gratuity tax added at the end of the check (no matter how many people in your party)... I was good with my coconut drink. My entree was Shrimp Soup. The veggies, rice & Shrimp were cooked to perfection. Nothing was over cooked, which could've easily happened with that dish. Broth was a little bland,, but overall I was satisfied with the food. Disappointed with the new "tower rules" but, that's just me. It didn't seem to deturr other...
Read moreI called to place a to go order (being mindful of them closing in 20 minutes) at 10:40pm on 8/6/22. The woman answered the phone and asked how she can help me. I asked to place a to go order. She said sorry they are closed, I asked if they did not close at 11 and she said yeah but that’s in 20 minutes. I have worked in food service before and have had numerous close calls before closing. However I graciously took the order and made the meal because THAT WAS MY JOB UNTIL I CLOCKED OUT. To put it in perspective from an ownership stand point let’s say in 20 minutes they might have 4 customer. Each customer is 25 bucks a head. That’s $100. Let’s say the woman that answered the phone works 5 days a week and she closes a busines that is not hers 20 minutes early every night. 5x100=500. 500x4=2,000. 2,000x12=24,000. Who is she to make a $24,000 decision on a business that is not hers after the owner put countless hours of hard work and sweat equity in so she can have a place to clock in and out at? After she confirmed with me that she refused to take my to go order because they closed in 20 minutes I promptly drove from Southside Blvd all the way to Latin House Grill located at 5584 Timuquana road and literally had a perfect 10 meal. Everything I ordered was absolutely perfect. So I would actually like to thank the woman that answered the phone. Her neglecting her job duties turned into a blessing for me. I highly recommend Latin House Grill as an alternative to this...
