Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Very poor experience with the staff. When I, and two others in my party, placed our orders, our food didn’t come until an hour. I sat down and waited for a while, about 15 minutes already then asked the birthday server, Brooke, if she could check on our food- because we ordered food seperate from the birthday party. She came back and told us our pizza’s are in the oven. Another 15 minutes later I asked another girl on the floor and she said she’d check on it for us and she never came back. Already upset because it’s been 50 min I talked to someone named Terra and she immediately refunded us. She told my boyfriend his pizza is going to made by her at that time because it was not in the oven. I showed her the rest of the foods we ordered and it was not made, claimed the cook is backed up. I then asked for a refund for the rest of our orders and she did it for us with no question and no fuss. That was the only good service we received. Their ski ball machine was missing balls and we asked someone to help us, it appeared as the person called for help but no one came. My brother had also won jack pot and the machine wasn’t spitting out his tickets. He called for someone for that as well, and this time someone came. But just fixed the game but did not give him the tickets he won. Had to call him back to get the tickets. I asked for a box from Brooke and she went in the back, I assumed she went to grab it but 10 min later she came back and did not have a box with her and just coninued cleaning her party up. I asked her for the box again and she just said “sorry” and started to head back but my friend had went ahead and asked someone else. I walked to the game floor and then walked my friend back to her car. When I went back to my table after, my pizza’s were put to the side and my drinks were thrown away, along with a piece of cake on the table I didnt get to finish. Just overall a very poor experience. Coordination with food, servers don’t listen, and game room does not help. Will be contacting the store manager as well about the situation. Hopefully...

I have such mixed reactions about this place. On one hand I do enjoy the atmosphere cuz it is clean but beyond that I'm not sure why I take my children there. They do enjoy the games but it's 15 to 45 seconds of no Real Entertainment there just swiping a card and following mindless prompts.... I know it sounds weird but it's not really that much fun when you step back and look at it but I guess all in all the kids really do enjoy it. then after you're there the kids get to the counter where they have how many ever tokens or tickets they have one and after you put all of those together after their hours of hard work you realize that great toy that they just one is really worth about $0. 06. so it's not a bad place nothing against Chuck-E-Cheese it's just the establishment itself in retrospect is kind of a rip off I guess but my boys absolutely adore it... So I guess from a kid's perspective it's amazing, from my perspective it just burns a hole in my pocket and I leave wonderingwhy and how can they love that $0. 06 toy... I mean I can take them to Walmart or Target spend 1/3 of what I do at Chuck-E-Cheese and they will have an amazing prize but I guess it's the overall experience that they do enjoy. and parents beware this new card system that they have that you can just swipe makes it extremely easy for a three-year-old to run through cash once he realizes all you have to do is keep touching a button and he can...

UPDATE February 2017 (4 STARS)- This establishment has improved a LOT since my last visit. It is so much cleaner, the food is a lot better, the staff is very friendly and upbeat. I am very impressed with the positive turn around :) The ONLY down side is that they removed the play area. But still it has improved a LOT.

Update August 2016 Review (2 STARS)- I'm still very disappointed with the cleanliness of this establishment. The fountain drink station was out of syrup so again no Mountain Dew for me. But I did give them another star because I noticed they are really working on keeping their games in working condition. I had a couple issues with getting tickets or pictures out of a few machines, but for the most part almost all of the games are working now. I hope they continue to focus on these issues.

July 2016 Review (1 STAR)- I've been here several times and each time it gets progressively worse. Their is a HUGE cleaning issue (sticky tables, dead flies, trash still on tables when it opens, mold coming out of the fountain drink nozzles), 20% of the games are broken, they stopped putting out the cheese and spice shakers on the tables, and the staff just seems bored. These are all issues that could be fixed if management trained their employees better and did frequent inspections. Until then, this place is no longer...
