To start out with, I would like to say that our server was very kind and very attentive. And she was absolutely amazing. Started out great appetizer was hot and amazing. (says Stacy Lynn on the receipt don’t quite remember her name, but she was amazing) We had the little onion petals. After that is when everything went wrong too large triangle. We ordered the outlaw ribeye steak with the brussels sprouts and mac & cheese and then added on a salad. Sometimes we like to share our dinner and it’s a 20 ounce steak. We ordered the steak medium/medium rare. Figured more towards the medium rare side when it came out, it would be medium like most places. Actually came out well done. Our server gladly was willing to take it back and have another steak made. At this point, we waited and our steak came out and it was basically raw. We’d cut a small piece off and then wound up cutting through the middle. She took the steak back.( keep in mind, our waitress explained to me that their best cook was back in the back.) They threw it back onto the grill evidently over an open flame because it definitely looked cooked on the outside, but then as we’re cutting into it again extremely rare. Keep in mind we have now had the same steak twice and cut into it multiple times.. Our server again apologizes says that she will get the manager who comes over and takes the steak once again back to the back and attempts to cook the same steak for the third time. ( Who continues to throw the same steak on a grill and attempts to cook it three times???) At this point, I no longer want a steak that has been cooked three times so I had asked for a new steak. She tried to just refund the money Versus just making another steak. I explained I have no problems paying for the steak and I would like to have a steak cooked correctly. ( Keep in mind also I am very calm and very patient and not trying to be difficult by no means I just would like what I paid for.) It’s not like I went to a chicken wings place looking for a steak. I went to a steakhouse. I have eaten that Longhorn many times in Fleming Island and never had any problems. So the manager, then brings out a third stake, which clearly is not the renegade stake it is a smaller coat of meat and nowhere near a stick and it is well done. At this point, I was just done. So we finished our salad, brussels sprouts and mac & cheese, and just collected our check and left. Thank you, Longhorn for a two hour lunch and a steak that my dog...
Read moreWorst experience, we go here often. It is my favorite steak place. Tonight was awful, we were seated our waitress told us she would get our drinks but someone else would wait on us. Immediately, she came back and asked us what we wanted to eat. She was unclear about what the menu had on it, I had to show her the menu where it says they serve Mac and cheese to kids. We got our drinks but it was the only drinks we didn't have to chase down or go get ourselves. My husband and I ordered the exact same steaks but an hour later we get two very different steaks. The waitress asked me if I wanted them to remake it, I said no. She then decided to get her "trainer" to handle me, I guess. She said that my waitress didn't think I was enjoying my steak and can she make me another one, I said no we have been here for 2 hours, my family is eating I don't want to wait another hour for my food. She then asked me if they could put it in a to go box. Why would I spend two hours in a restaurant to watch my family and friends eat and then take my food home and eat alone? I asked what am I supposed to do she said I could sit there and not enjoy my steak. My husband said just take it off the bill( which she offered this as well) she then said she will see what she can do. She asked me if she could get me a dessert, I said no. I told them three times I would eat the steak. No manager ever came to the table, ever. Then the original waitress came back with the check saying that they took 10$ off the bill. While I appreciate the idea that you did something, you came to me wanting to throw a 30$ steak away and make another 30$ steak, offered to send me home with a 12$ dessert but then ended up taking 10$ off the bill, thank you. I think I would have preferred "I am really sorry" not the badgering, uncomfortable conversation with no apologies and then the insult of less than the dessert you offered taken off the bill. Then, I could have enjoyed the steak I didn't order but paid for what i oredered. My whole group was uncomfortable and it was the only conversation after that. The whole experience was awful. That "training" waitress is a jerk. I'm not sure she was a trainer but she acted like she was helping the lady so, I assume...twice she told my friend she would refill her drink and she never did, we had to find someone to do it...
Read moreFirst the person that seats you was courteous, our server was nice but was very distracted, I did ask her which steak she recommended that was small and great very tender in quality?; she recommended the Flo steak at 6oz. she placed the orders but didn’t return with no complimentary bread to the table. It was two of us and we waited and waited for her return to let her know. I did stood up to find her and she wasn’t in the dining room. She finally returned and I signaled her about the bread she did bring it and it was hot and there wasn’t a knife for the butter. . No worries!!! Someone delivered the salmon for my guest and she enjoyed it but now I am waiting for the steak, it did come and I asked her why the tardiness and we couldn’t find you, she said staff was short handed and she was in the kitchen, I told her it’s because we be needing you and you disappeared. I didn’t say no more but later my steak arrived and it didn’t look good it was kinda blotted, you know as though it had air inside it, so I started cutting it with the very sharp knife and it was hard to cut into it. Inside the steak was medium well but it was tough to cut and when i tasted it, it tough to chew and chew so I waited and waited for her to return, and told her and showed her the toughness to cut and she agreed to change it out. The next steak that arrive looks prettier but when I cut into one side it was as I ordered it but when I cut on the other side it was completely raw and no way I can do this twice and ask for a third so I politely told them I am not ordering a third so I’m done and thank you. I soon afterwards left and I can tell them that my Caesar salad was delicious but croutons made it tastier.
Please do better Please service your table with be more attentive Please come back after the meal is delivered by the kitchen and confirm your order is good make sure you try to come to the table to do refills etc.
