It was a busy night at Jacksonville Jazz Fest and I can be patient for products or services at a busy time. I was in line (approx 3 parties in front of me) and waiting to receive my funnel cake fries for about 35 minutes altogether. I ordered Oreo funnel cake fries and didn’t realize there was a $2 up charge for this (thinking they were $8). The total was given verbally and then a digital pad was handed to me for tip and signature, I could have opted for a receipt here but didn’t so that’s on me. The problem is, after waiting all this time to get my snack, I received it without the Oreo topping. I was not about to wait any longer for it to be added since I had no idea how long that would mean. The amount of funnel cake fries that came in the box was about the size of my open hand (and I have small hands). Not nearly enough for $10 when full size funnel cakes are usually around $5. Island Dream Food Truck is a gem for delicious Italian Ice. I’ve seen posts on IG with pictures of the yummy cool treats, so I decided to take my nieces for a treat. The truck was easy to located thanks to IG. I believe the truck moves to different locations throughout the week. This particular time the truck was located on Lem Turner.
The menu was a nice variety of mixes. I decided on mango and pineapple. My oldest niece got mango and banana. My youngest niece got the sour patch flavored Italian ice which I was very skeptical, but it was actually really good. The Italian ice was so refreshing, and the prices were very reasonable. VERY disappointed. Came to their location at regency twice, both times my order was incorrect. They even assured me the second time that it was right, but lo and behold, they gave me a strawberry flavored Italian ice instead of a cotton candy.
