J LEMON PEPPER. Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Jacksonville

A bunch of disrespectful children working here not 1 mature adult in sight! This was the worst customer service I have ever received. The girl at the window was not only extremely rude to my parents and I but, I also witnessed them lock the doors and proceed to argue with several customers through the door because they were upset about their food orders. My order was brought out but, when we inquired about our second order we were met with an attitude and told “it’s coming” we tried waiting patiently but it was made abundantly clear that they were serving other customers that came AFTER us before us! I know this because the workers came to our car twice with the wrong order #’s and both of them were after ours. When we tried to go in and get a refund they refused to reopen the doors (during business hours) with customers inside and told us to go through the drive thru which had a line!!! Then once we got back in the line a girl comes out the back door with our food which we had to flag down in the rain because at this point we were stuck in the line. This was a clear sign of unprofessional behavior as it was obviously a spiteful move made by the cashier. Instead of allowing us inside the building and handing the food to us she made us go back through the drive through. Service like this makes the entire community look bad! Managers need to run the cameras back and start...

We called and ordered ahead. We had the 20 piece whole wings with fries and a side of fried mushrooms.

Pickup went smoothly. I'm told they can get quite busy, but fortunately not when we visited. Staff were friendly and we didn't wait long for our food. Everything was hot and freshly made.

The chicken wings, whole wings 😁, and fries come in an aluminium tray covered with foil. The wings and fries are sprinkled with a delicious lemon pepper, which we can never get enough of. Fries and wings were hot and crispy, although the wings were a bit overcooked.

The fried mushrooms were piping hot and also crispy. They were baby portobellos, which added a stronger flavor than the standard white button mushrooms. They really needed a ranch or appropriate sauce, but we didn't look at the sauces included which were a couple BBQ (mustard one and a sweeter one), a strange flavorless mayo that looked like maybe it was supposed to be tartar, some hot sauce and some ketchup. Super weird no ranch for the wings or mushrooms.... Right?

Overall good experience and a good value. If you're a sauce person, maybe...

Every since I came back to Jacksonville, Main Street just can't seem to get it right. First off their customer service sucks. They have these young children at the window who just do not care about how they speak over the intercom and they play over the intercom while you are ordering. Secondly the portion of good is no longer the same and chicken taste like old burnt grease. I'm so over main street. They had the nerve to give me this old chicken tbat taste like it was dip back in chicken grease along with these toddler fries. I'm so over this location.

Update: I came back in hopes to give this restaurant another chance for lunch. I asked for the 3 wings and fries with sweet and tangy sauce. Then i sat ignored at the intercom for 2 mins before I went through the drive through. I had to redo the order and then when I mentioned not to forget the sauce on my fries I was charged a extra dollar on top of already saying I wanted it. I know the manager he is so sweet but ill continue to go to the one on Ceasary and University North. These young ones do not care and dont want you to order during...
