I stopped by this Jimmy John’s during the early wave of the lunch rush around 11:30 AM on May 12th, and I’m happy to say I was genuinely impressed by the experience. While it wasn't jam-packed, there was a consistent flow of customers coming in, and the team handled it with precision, professionalism, and an upbeat energy that made my visit worth noting. Below is a breakdown of my experience across a few key areas:
Cleanliness: 4.5/5 The first thing I noticed as I walked in was how clean and orderly everything was, which is something I don’t always expect during the lunch rush. The floors were spotless, tables were wiped down promptly after each guest left, and there was no noticeable clutter on the counters or prep areas. Even the drink fountain was tidy and well-stocked—no sticky spills or stray napkins in sight. You could tell cleanliness is taken seriously at this location, and it really added to the overall comfort of the space.
Speed: 5/5 True to their “freaky fast” reputation, my sandwich was made with incredible speed. From placing the order to receiving my food, I waited maybe 3–4 minutes max, despite the steady stream of customers before and after me. What really impressed me was that the team didn’t seem rushed or flustered—they just moved efficiently and confidently, clearly well-trained and in sync. I watched several other orders come out just as quickly, and the accuracy never wavered.
Quality: 5/5 I ordered a #12 Beach Club on wheat, and it was everything I hoped for—fresh ingredients, crisp lettuce, creamy avocado spread, and soft, chewy bread that tasted fresh-baked. The proportions were just right, and nothing was skimped. Chips were crunchy and not crushed (a small thing, but appreciated), and my drink tasted clean and well-balanced. It’s clear this location doesn’t cut corners on product quality, which definitely isn’t something I take for granted in a chain environment.
Friendliness & Service: 4.5/5 This is where the visit really stood out.
There was a young man behind the counter—I overheard someone call him Derick- I didn’t catch the spelling- who was an absolute standout. From the moment I walked in, he greeted customers with a genuine smile and kept a calm, friendly energy even as the pace picked up. He was fast and focused, but still managed to make the atmosphere feel welcoming and relaxed. When I had a question about a sandwich modification, Derick was polite, informative, and quick to offer a great suggestion without sounding rehearsed or rushed. It’s rare to see someone so young show that level of leadership, hospitality, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
If management reads this: please recognize Derick. He’s the kind of employee who elevates a guest’s entire experience and reflects positively on your brand.
Overall Impressions: I came in expecting a quick bite and left genuinely impressed. Everything—from the cleanliness to the speed to the product quality—was exactly what you hope for, and the staff went above and beyond to maintain great service without sacrificing friendliness. This is the kind of Jimmy John’s that sets the standard for others.
I’ll absolutely be back the next time I’m in the area—and I hope Derick on...
Read moreI’m disgusted with the service that I just received from this location.
Let me start by saying having worked at Jimmy John’s YEARS ago as a college student, I’m well aware of the corporations standard of business. From simple customer service to dress code to cleanliness. Ive never gone into a store and experienced the ignorance I did today. Past that, having been in many leadership and management roles - simple customer service is the low bar. Easy to accomplish. And quality leadership is a standard and seemingly an expectation.
Upon walking in, I noticed the employee on the food line was not wearing a hat and her hair being longer was pulled back but the front was lingering in her face and over the food she was making. When it was my turn to order, I simply asked the cashier if she could be the one to make my food because I didn’t want the young lady who’s hair was dangling to make my food like that. The cashier proceeded to respond very nonchalantly with 0 level of understanding or customer service for my ask. She barely said much but the look on her face said enough. I asked the cashier if she understood why i was asking and again very unprofessional & nonchalant with a “I mean yea but it’s going to be a while before I get to it because I have other orders to take” - okay, fair….. the “manager” who just so happened to be the individual with no hat and hair all over the place butted in and said “what’s the problem” …. The cashier told her exactly what I wanted - for her NOT to make my food. Which was very correct. The “manager’s” response was “Well then you can leave” ….. things went downhill from there. Let me be very clear, at this point my tone changed, YES! But I didn’t raise my voice, use vulgar language, or quite frankly say or do anything that wasn’t rightfully okay being the customer.
I did tell the “manager” she should be doing a better job and the cashier proceeded to point at the door and tell me “girl get out”… WOW. I told her to make me! Yes, I did. She told me she would call the police because I refused to leave and proceeded to call them.
My refusal to leave was not loud, inappropriate or belligerent - rather principled. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This is UNPROFESSIONAL. Whomever the owner and general manager needs to know how those specific employees are poorly customer serving. This situation should’ve been addressed and handled so much differently. The cashier had a point - yes mistakes happen, so I can understand the girl forgetting her hat but her hair should’ve been properly pulled back and beyond that - when I brought this to their attention, CUSTOMER SERVICE should’ve been applied. Period.
Today is March 20, 2025 and this took place between 12pm - 1pm (I didn’t clock the exact time) but for reference on WHO those two girls were because I didn’t get their names.
I have contacted corporate and I hope that higher up leadership addresses this matter...
Read moreI stopped by this Jimmy John’s for a quick lunch and was seriously blown away—not just by the food, but by the incredible service from Chloe and Derek, who were the only two people working at the time. Despite being short-staffed, they handled everything like pros.
Even with a steady stream of customers, Chloe and Derek moved with purpose and precision. Chloe was working the line, assembling sandwiches with lightning-fast hands and no drop in quality. Every order I saw her make was clean, neat, and accurate. My sandwich was fresh, perfectly wrapped, and ready in just a few minutes.
Certainly! Here’s a standalone paragraph that focuses entirely on Chloe, which you can add to the review or use separately:
Chloe was an absolute standout during my visit. From the moment I walked in, she brought an energy that made the whole place feel welcoming. She was quick on the line, assembling sandwiches with speed and precision, but never at the expense of quality. Every movement was efficient, confident, and clearly the result of someone who knows what they’re doing and cares about doing it well. Even while moving quickly, Chloe stayed friendly, engaging with customers, smiling, and keeping a positive tone that really set the mood for the entire visit. It’s rare to see someone balance speed, skill, and genuine friendliness so effortlessly—she made the experience not only efficient but genuinely enjoyable.
Meanwhile, Derek kept everything flowing—managing the register, prepping items, and jumping in wherever he was needed. The way the two of them coordinated was genuinely impressive. They worked in sync, communicated clearly, and never missed a beat.
What stood out even more than the speed was their attitude. Both Chloe and Derek were upbeat, polite, and welcoming, even as the pressure picked up. Chloe greeted customers with a smile, and Derek maintained a calm, steady energy that made the experience feel smooth and relaxed. They never looked overwhelmed or frustrated—just focused and professional.
Despite being busy and short-handed, the store was spotless. Tables were clean, counters were tidy, and the drink station was stocked and organized. My sandwich (a #5 Vito) tasted fresh and was built with care—nothing thrown together or rushed. It was everything I’d hoped for.
This was one of the best fast-casual experiences I’ve had in a long time. Chloe and Derek absolutely crushed it, running the whole store by themselves without sacrificing speed, quality, or service. That kind of teamwork and attitude deserves serious recognition.
If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—especially if these two are on shift. You’ll be in...
