McDonalds has been the cornerstone of American fast-food and culture. It's the one restaurant that I loved dearly throughout my life and it pains me how much it has fallen from grace over the past several years. Today, I'm not luv'n it. The very things that McDonald's were prideful of, good quality, speed, value, and service, no longer exist. I've come to absolutely hate going to McDonald's now because how poorly it has become.
I once thought it was only my local McDonald's that was terrible but I recently visited McDonald's throughout the south including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, and it's true for all of them. Employees are miserable and have no passion or motivation to provide any inkling of good service. They're always over stressed, behind on orders and arguing amongst themselves. If they ask me to pull up in the drive through or move to a parking spot to wait on my order, I immediately know that I'm not getting my order or at the very least it won't be correct. Once it took over 45 minutes before someone finally brought me someone else's order. Needless to say we got a refund and went somewhere else.
Finally it has become so expensive at McDonald's that I can longer justify eating there. The terrible service and poor quality of food does not justify the price. In the south, we enjoy sweet tea but McDonald's now charges what I call a "Sweet Tea Tax". It varies at every location but I have seen them place a surcharge on sweet tea from 10 cents to 60 cents. Soda or soft drinks however does not suffer from this charge. When did tea become more expensive than a Coke? Oddly it seems lately that eating there has become less filling. Perhaps its more emotional than physical but we all agree at home that we fill less full when eating at McDonald's compared to other fast-food chains. I struggle to find any value or advantage at eating at McDonald's.
McDonald's has lost its way and now lies in the dusty boot prints of places like Chick-fil-A who is the definition of excellence. Aside from the fact that they serve completely different kind of meals. For a family of four, they cost about the same but the experience between these chains are worlds apart. McDonald's needs to reinvent themselves before we will ever set foot on another McDonald's property.
If you are lucky enough to be in the southeast where Cook Out restaurants exist, I highly recommend them if your are looking for a good value. Where McDonald's cost us an average price of $50 for a family of four, we can enjoy a meal at Cook Out for less than $40. That's including milk shakes and...
Read moreI will start off with one thing. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! As soon as we pulled up the drive thru was empty but there was a line wrapping around the building for people waiting for their orders, we decided to try ordering inside for faster service and regretted it instantly. There were flies everywhere and the building was dirtier than a public bathroom. We decided to deal with it and order on the machine because the workers were busy. We tried to pay but it wouldn’t accept the card because the machine wasn’t working. It said that it should give us a receipt and we can pay up front but there was no receipt. We decided to just tell them that we got no receipt. The person at the cash register started talking to us with a very stern voice and gave us expressions making it seem like it was our fault that their machine didn’t work. We had to order AGAIN which wasn’t that big of a deal until they got the order wrong. Now let me tell you, we ordered a medium smoothie and they gave us a small. We didn’t want to be rude so we kindly asked for another one the right size. This worker decides it’s a good idea to roll their eyes at me and walk away. I wait for about 5 minutes and the worker comes back with my medium smoothie… only problem is that it is half full. We didn’t make a fuss out of it and poured the small into the medium. We went to get a straw and fill my friends cup but were disgusted when we went ti grab a straw and they had actual FOOD in the straws! The straws were very greasy and we were not pleased by this at all. My friend told me to look at her feet and she wasn’t moving a muscle and her feet were sliding because of how greasy this floor was. A few minutes later the same thing happened to me. We felt with it and waited for our order. It had been 36 minutes that we were in this restaurant. We see an order at the front and tried to ask what was in it because we didn’t know if it was ours or not. They were busy so we waited patiently and we had seen something very unpleasant. The food was OPEN and there were flies on the food!!! This was disgusting and we were honestly very afraid to eat this food. I have a picture of one of the flies on the bag as proof. We left and we’re not happy, so I am currently writing this review because honestly or food tasted HORRIBLE!! This was the worst 38 minutes I have ever experienced at any local fast food place in my life. I would never recommend coming here for anyone. Not even my...

Simply stated, this store’s workforce is trash.
When arriving at this location, we were not greeted at all, which is okay, but no one was available at the register either. We waited for a minute or so while two employees and the apparent manager on duty were too distracted by their phones to assist customers. We were the only individuals in the store.
Now that we moved to the filthy touch screen panels to order our food, we did not receive a receipt. But not a big deal, we didn’t need one. We took our table tent and found the least dirty table to sit at. After cleaning our own table, in an establishment empty of patrons, they called out order 743. Seeing that our table tent was 36, it appeared we did need our receipt after all, as the staff was too lazy to even walk the food over TO THE TABLE TENT that THEY PROVIDE for food to be DELIVERED.
Now, we sit down to begin eating, and realize that there is no ketchup. We go to the counter to ask for ketchup and are met with glaring stares, like it’s an item that’s been discontinued for years. Yet somehow it was available to put on our burgers but not for customers to use.
A few minutes after we begin eating, the apparent MOD could be seen and heard pacing on her cell phone talking about employees out of uniform, as if that’s the most glaring issue in this store. When she concludes the call, she stands at the window next to our table, at an unnecessarily close distance, and just stares outside. Not cleaning any of the dirty tables that came long before us. She passes those table again and goes back to leaning behind the counter on her phone.
Another customer entered and after a few moments, could be heard asking for ketchup, where he too was met with rude language and thrown one bbq sauce.
We won’t even go into the condition of the bathrooms as it’s apparent this staff couldn’t care less about any aspect of this establishment other than payday.
Coming from a store manger of a retail business, this is a despicable embarrassment to the McDonalds company.
