Went here last night after ordering in the app. Showed up twenty minutes after the order was placed. It was not ready. Which is fine. I walked up to the counter and was approached (not greeted) by the black gentleman with baggy pants and tattoos on his arms and face (Iâm black, this is not racial, just describing the exact individual). I asked him how he was doing, to which he ignored me, walked to the register and said âwhat can I do for youâ. I told him I had a pickup order. He said he has no fries for my order (two orders of fries) and proceeded to TELL ME that he was giving me the same sides that came with the other order made. Not asked me, told me. I said that if there were no fries it should not have been able to buy them. He rolled his eyes and shook his head. Then he left for ten minutes without a word. Upon returning his attitude was still terrible. Since the fire were not available, I asked him if the strips he put in my basket were correct (spicy) to which he responded âI know how to read sirâ
If you hate your job, you should quit. But PAYING customers should not be subject to piss poor service because of a sorry employee. Management or the Owner should take more pride in who they hire. Absolutely the worst Popeyes experience Iâve ever had in the entire country. If I could give -5 stars I would.

As much as I LOVE Popeyes and have eaten there at least once or twice a week (for the family), I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed by what I experienced with this location recently. After purchasing about $40 worth of food for dinner one night a few weeks ago, I was appalled to discover one of our spicy chicken sandwiches has been bitten off of prior to being served to us!!! You heard me right .. the sandwich that we paid for and ordered was EATEN by a Popeyes EMPLOYEE before they wrapped it up and placed it in the bag and sent it home with us! Not only is this disgusting on an every day basis, but especially when COVID is running rampant!! I spoke to three on-site managers, the Jacksonville area manager, as well as the Regional Manager and wasnât even offered an apology by ANY of them! Instead I was told that the person who cooked that night wasnât âcapableâ of doing such a thing!! As if I were a liar making the event up! When I asked them to pull the camera footage to determine who would commit such a vile and disgusting act and have them fired immediately, I was told they donât have cameras in that area! This means that person is STILL working there serving food to other people and NO telling what he is doing to it prior to serving it!! I know it's "participating locations only" but advertised frozen lemonade, which is on the physical menu in the physical restaurant, is not available. At all the locations in Jacksonville and Callahan we've tried. Ik prices are getting expensive on everything, but a $5 mark up to make a sandwich a combo?? Really?? This part, this location. Gossipy and very very casual-attitude service, but nice enough. But not terribly clean. None of the three girls putting together orders had gloves, can't speak to the cooks in the kitchen. Fly buzzing around, but hey it's Florida, they get in occasionally. They were Out of mashed potatoes and gravy, another menu item "discontinued", even though the menu has been updated recently enough to include the frozen lemonade special, and the employee called the frozen lemonade "false advertising". No soap in the restrooms, no hand sanitizer in the dispensers. Not the employee's fault but horrible parking lot set up, hard to turn into (even in a car, much much worse for husband's pick-up), and the drive through requires like, a u-turn in the parking to even get into it.
