Placed an order with Door Dash and decided to call to verify the contents of my order. I spoke with Lisa who first stated they don't do delivery as I said Postmates accidentally. Clarifying it was Door Dash she stated she didn't see my order so I asked if she can tell me what comes in the order for French toast meal...I proceeded to try and explain to her that on the menu on Door Dash it's promoting other items that she staying does not come with. She began to talk over me when I told her I didn't want it due to it not having what it was listed. She continued to tell me that it is not her fault and she does not see my order. I asked for a manager and she then told me she was and I asked for the corporate office and she hung up on me...I called back and she starts to explain why she hung up on me and after there times she finally gave me the corporate number which no one answered or no voicemail. I then hear her say they just walked in... Then she says "she does not want it cancel it" I knew she was lying because she had just stated that my order wasn't in the system yet... So how did the delivery driver get there before the food is made??? I would never never spend my hard earned cash on the place. The name is perfect for Lisa. The best part is..... It was all recorded...I am waiting to hear her explanation on why it...
Read moreI'm from south Florida. I heard about this place from friends who grew up in jax. It was highly recommended and didn't disappoint. Prices are reasonable and the food tasted great. The server was a friendly young brunette lady. Absolute top notch service from her. Cant remember her name, however, I'd forget my own if I didn't hear it every day. The reason I stopped by is because my friends asked me to bring them back a gallon of their "pig sauce" to Fort Lauderdale. They were thrilled when I delivered it because they knew it meant there were phenomenal ribs in their near future.
This place is a "hole in the wall" that is a must visit if you're in town. It's a tiny little gem that I feel shouldn't be confined to locals. If you're passing through j'ville and want BBQ, check out "the pig".
I had the BBQ pork plate with Mac n cheese and fries. My date had BBQ chicken, green beans and some other side that I can't recall.
All of it was delicious. Go to the pig. Get a plate. If you enjoy it, do yourself a favor and buy some of the sauce. I paid $30 for a gallon of sauce and transported it 400 miles. Their eyes lit up when they saw it and they got even more giddy when they realized I kept it refrigerated the whole time.
The pig... beyond 5 stars! Can't wait to drag my city boy self back to jax for...
Read moreI hate to write this review because when we were here a couple of years ago the food was good but today it was absolute garbage. My husband and I literally forced ourselves to take as many bites as we could before just throwing the towel in and calling it. My husband got the loaded baked potato with pork and it was not a baked potato. It was so starchy and cut up into chunks with burnt cheese on top of it, the pork was pale and so sketchy to eat now that I’m seeing other reviews about old meat, the Mac n cheese and French fries had no flavor to them and no salt on the fries, completely bland. I will say the 2 positives are that the waitress was kind enough to take his food off of our tab and the other waitress was kind enough to tell my husband not to get the hushpuppies because of some precious issues with cooking them that she’s seen happen so we avoided those as well. Oh ya, we sat outside and were forgot about 2 different times one being to place our order and then they never brought my husband his drink. Very unfortunate and will...
