If zero stars was an option... Firstly, the server greeted us with attitude and an unkind aura. There was no "hi, how are you?" she said "are you here to eat?" very rudely. Once sat, I ordered a sparking wine. Sparking wines are supposed to bubble from the bottom up. It was completely flat and gross tasting. We ordered their fried Mozzarella as an appetizer. We noticed a hair in between the glass table and our table cloth. Decided to ignore it as it wasn't physically on the table. There were only 2 tables in the entire restaurant. It took 20 minutes for the appetizer to come out. The appetizer didn't look appetizing but we decided to go for it anyways. After I cut into the fried mozzarella, we found 2 pieces of hair on our plate. Which belonged to neither my partner nor myself. I walked up to the server to whisper quietly "we found a hair in our food, we would like to go ahead and pay for our drinks and leave." the server was not concerned, apologetic, nothing. Then, tried charging us for the fried mozzarella. I told her I was not paying for that and she says "are you not going to eat it?" We were really excited to try this place as we were celebrating my partner's promotion. The manager even walked past me, smiled and asked if everything was okay. We still had to pay $30 for our two drinks. We will not be returning and encouraging others to avoid this place.

A Hidden Gem in Jacksonville – Primi Piatti is a delight! My sister and I traveled all the way from California for a quick business trip, and little did we know that one dinner at Primi Piatti would become the highlight of our entire stay. With limited time in Jacksonville, we wanted something special—and boy, did we find it! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The warmth of the staff, the intimate atmosphere, and the undeniable passion that fills this restaurant made us feel at home instantly. And then came the food… stupendously delicious. Every bite was an explosion of authentic Italian flavors, crafted with love and expertise. But what truly set Primi Piatti apart was the experience. As the restaurant closed for the night, we were invited to stay and join in an impromptu celebration—dancing, laughter, and pure joy. It felt less like a restaurant and more like a family gathering in the best way possible. The owner? A true gem. You can tell he deeply cares about his guests and has built something truly special. We’re already dreaming of a return trip to Florida, and honestly, Primi Piatti is at the top of our list of reasons to come back. If you ever find yourself in Jacksonville, do yourself a favor— go. You won’t be disappointed.

Walked in and was greeted by who we later realized was the owner and he had a reserved sign on the table for us. He personally walked us through a wine tasting to pair with our food and was so thoughtful about what went well with different food flavor profiles. The server was a really sweet young woman who shared many of the same hospitality characteristics as the gentleman. We ordered the lobster bisque (the bread was warm and fresh and the soup? amazing… I could have had 4 bowls of the bisque alone and called it a good night). We had the lamb chops and lasagna, both of these dishes were spot on with flavor and quality. They topped it off with a limoncello cake and it was so light and perfect for 2 guests. You can tell these people care about their craft and want to share it with you. They made us feel like family in under 2 hours and we will absolutely be back, it might have been the best dining experience I’ve had and I’m proud to have the restaurant here in Jacksonville minutes from home instead of driving outside of Duval County for a special occasion

It's not very often I give 5 stars, but this place absolutely deserved it. I took my girlfriend to dinner here on Friday night. We were seated immediately as I'd made a reservation. I highly suggest making one if you're planning on showing up on a Friday or Saturday night because it's a pretty small place. We were seated for almost 30 minutes without being helped at all which was a bummer but we both work in the service industry so we were patient and understanding. Finally, a gentleman who appeared to be the GM approached us and asked if we'd been helped. We told him no and he took our order. The wine we ordered was phenomenal. I had a glass of the Chardonnay and my girlfriend had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and they were both very tasty. She got a house salad which was pretty good and I got the crab bisque to start. I highly recommend the crab bisque as it's not too heavy like some bisque's I've had. At this point in our meal our server brought us another glass of wine which we hadn't ordered and he said it was on the house for our wait. Bonus! Then our main course came. My girlfriend had the Chicken Parmigiana and she absolutely loved it. I had the chicken Francese and it was ridiculously good. I'm a cook at a high end steakhouse in the area and it's not very often that I go somewhere and rave about the quality of food. This place did it right though! After our meal, the GM stopped by and apologized about our wait at the beginning and offered us a free dessert on the house. He said they were short staffed for the evening so that's why it took a while. Ironically at the beginning of our evening, my girlfriend and I were talking about how we figured they were short staffed and come to find out, that's exactly what they were. The service at the beginning of our evening wasn't the best, but they definitely made up for it with the free glasses of wine and the delicious dessert we had on the house to end our meal. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had and that's saying a lot coming from someone like me with the cooking background and fine dining experience that I have.

Overall, this was an absolutely amazing experience and my girlfriend and I would absolutely return. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who asked, especially for a date night.
