Sometimes all it takes is one spoiled apple to ruin the entire experience. An extremely pleasant lady, Ms. Marlyn (or something along those lines, my apologies) assisted me with setting up an account and getting a card. She showed me around a little bit and was extremely helpful when it came to the computers, upcoming emails I’ll receive, and the lay of the land. Then some creature that originated from a long line of amplifiers what with her volume (not Ms. M, but some young thing that liked the sound of her own voice) decided to ruin the entire experience. On and off for at least 45 minutes she was openly discussing politics and her blatant view on our government with any other employee that would listen - to the point where the non-employees around me were discussing her volume. She, a government-funded employee, was also saying snarky remarks behind the back of another employee that called to ask why things had been moved around. I’m not going back to that branch - if I wanted a rundown of the politics of the world I would have intentionally went to the section of books entitled ‘Politics’. If I wanted to hear someone badmouth their fellow employees for asking a simple question I would’ve looked up ‘Toxic Work Environments’. Not the time. Not the place. Punch in. Punch out. Go get a coffee with your friends(God bless their hearts). THEN start making everyone around...
Read moreI really liked this my neighbor branch until today. I went over there just wanted to printed out a couple of papers. Since I have'nt done it so long I needed some help. The mid age guy with gray hair helped me, but he looked like reluctant from the beginning. Yes, he explained everything from check in and printing everything, just once really fast like a robot, Not saying "let me know if you need help" or nothing, he just wanted to finish it. When I went back to front desk with a little confusion, He seemed like irritated, and he found out I didn't count how many paper I tried to print out, he raised his voice, and he started saying "I Told you..!! " and I said sorry I just could'nt remember what I had to to everything. I hate that line anyway people says. " I told you!" you are not my parent!! I am not your kid! You are librarian to help people out in the library, and also some people were line up behind me. It was embarrassing too! Do not treat people like ignorant even if they don't understand with just one time quick...

On Tuesdays Mr. Joe hosts Music and Movement at 1030 and 1100. Tip: show up at 1000 to get a card for the 1030 session, it fills up fast. They have over 120 kids and parents come in to sing, dance, read, and play.
On Friday at 1030 Ms. Jeanie has an art project that you get to take home and continue learning on your own. She puts a lot of forethought into the topic and has a tremendous amount of patience.
It is a small library but we always find new things to read and the building is beautiful. After you explore the library, you can play at Willowbranch park or go to the public garden on the corner of Park St...
