Sherwood's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Me and my girlfriend loved this place when we went, as a young couple still new to drinking and going to bars the bartender was very nice and helpful in recommending drinks, and not the most expensive ones either she genuinely recommended good drinks that didn't break the bank. The place has a great atmosphere too, I was told they recently renovated and you can definitely tell, the bathrooms and the entire place in general is VERY clean and does not smell like smoke, you can't smoke inside but they have a smoking patio at the back of the building that is very nice, it is outside with rain covers and chairs, they also play great relaxing music and have pool tables, darts and a few arcade games. The people that go to the bar are also very nice as well, while drinking there everyone was having a good time and there wasn't any drama or creeps bothering us. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing and safe environment...

Update 04-26-24 : it's still a great place, but the men's restroom was out so everyone was using the women's. Not much complaints, until most of the girls ended up leaving. 😢. Food truck was on sight near the patio area out back. Pool tables were still in ok shape. We also played bumper pool for the first time. Interesting game. I had to update (02-17-2023) this review and things change...except the rating. 5 stars. Always a good place to hang out! Clean all around. Good service. 2 bars when they get busy. 3 plastic tip dart boards and 3 pool tables. Good music, and they have other games like beer pong, giant jenga and other activities. Love the atmosphere, and clean restrooms always a good thing. Keep it up. Update 05-19-2023: still chugging along. Good...

Can't be more grateful or impressed with the staff here and the incredible thoughtfulness sincerity and effort presented to me today. Lost my small purse last night and couldn't locate. Turns out it fell out my finances truck last night in the lother. When I called earlier unfortunately was not in the bar anywhere and sounded truly you led for my stress. The amazing crew at Sherwood's took the time to locate my phone number in the call log from my call to them this morning to say that someone had turned it in after having seen it in the parking lot. So refreshing to see such goodness like this!!!! Thank you...
