Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I'm only rating this sonic a 5 star because of one person that works at this sonic her name is LORI she is so friendly, very sweet, has a great personality and a very hard worker she is always on the go and runs circles around her coworkers she gets your order out very fast and I think her boss should make her employee of the month or even a manager and give her a raise cause I've been coming to this sonic in Jacksonville for the last 2 years ive seen Lori walking across the highway to get back and forth to work she is very dedicated to her job she risks her life every time she crosses that highway to come or leave work and I just sit back and watch how the people there work and none of them take there job as Sirius as she does ... Now the not so good part about this sonic is the stalls are not the cleanest there is trash on ground and stalls, some worker's are not to friendly at all but a few are, food ordered never made right unless Lori takes the order and when you say something about your order being wrong the manager wants to argue with you but in the end gets it right. But if you come to this sonic in Jacksonville ask for Lori she will make sure you have a pleasant experience I can guarantee it she is an amazing lady... Just to let yall know Lori is not a friend ,family member or anything to me she is just someone i encountered while stoping in to sonic here in Jacksonville I was inspired by her and there should be more people in this world like her she is a blessing .

Please stop in to sonic and ask for Lori and tell her Felicia sent you guarantee she will have a smile on her face ... she should always feel appreciated by her...

So, it's been a long time since I've been to Sonic. I recently went to Sonic with a friend and got a slushie, saw they had .50 corn dogs on sale the next day. I haven't had a corn dog in years. Slushie: It was too sweet, I normally do not eat/drink fast foods and drinks so that could be why I feel that way. Corn dog: I will NEVER do that again. I ate one bite and threw it away. It was very greasy and taste awful. I'm not saying the grease they used had gone rancid, I'm just saying the corn dog itself did not taste good (to me). Now, my mother, who eats fast foods on a daily basis, seemed to think it was all just fine and dandy. Again, these are my personal opinions. I normally eat a healthier diet and drink water the majority of the time. I'm not used to all that sugar and grease.

Sonic is NOT the place to go if you want healthy options. Lufkin in itself is not the place to go for healthy options. Why can't this town ever get out of it's own hole? Even Nacogdoches has healthier options and people there live a healthier lifestyle. Sorry, soapbox. Anyway, if you want healthier food...

They are very crowded right now, almost couldn’t even find a space to park. But all of the food is way, way over cooked, like almost not even edible. If I were the manager, I would be embarrassed to serve customers this quality of food. Not sure if it’s always this way, we are just passing thru, but doubtful we will stop at this particular location again - we are thru here weekly going to the lake. But very disappointed to pay almost $70 for food that is so crunchy and burnt tasting that it definitely cured our craving for Sonic for awhile...ugh. I was impressed that our order was 100% correct though, given what a large order it is and I have several kids who made “special” orders. But I do not recommend the food itself, not good, at least...
