Took my granddaughter there for her birthday because she said they go there a lot and the food was good she even knew what she wanted ahead of time ,got there at around 1pm got seated quickly and the waitress was very attentive , my issue was the food the second the queso was put on the table my granddaughter said that doesn't even look like queso it was thick and extremely lumpy and sure enough it tasted how it looked was not impressed at all, I ordered the chimichanga plate and she got the child's enchilada meal plus 1 cheese enchilada and fries my whole plate of food was cold the chimichanga was so tough I couldn't even cut it with my fork I had to pull it apart ,the chicken was very dry with no flavor the beans no flavor the only thing I ate was the rice. My granddaughter looked at her plate and said this doesn't look anything like the cheese enchilada I normally get and she ate 2 bites she didn't like any of it, I explained to her maybe it was a different cook than when they had always come to eat because my son had even told me how good the food was and thought I was joking when I came back with full take home boxes to see if anyone else wanted it because the food was horrible, I had to use a fork to try and get the queso in a cup then turned the cup upside down and the queso never moved that is how thick and lumpy it was! Whoever was cooking today ruined my granddaughters 13th birthday lunch she was so excited for. I paid 42.00 for a small amount of food but I gave the waitress a $8.00 tip because it wasn't her fault the food sucked. I would not recommend nor go back to this Mexican restaurant I would rather get taco bell from the corner. The staff...
Read moreWe stopped for lunch on trip home from Plano, TX. First impression was good - parking lot was full, appeared to be an established restaurant. Fellow in front of adjoining grocery grilling various meats, interesting!
We were seated quickly, all staff appeared to be Mexicans, which I like. Our waitress was slow to get to us...there was a large Sunday lunch crowd, and it appeared she had too many tables assigned to her. She wasn't interactive at all, maybe over stressed.
They have an extensive menu, Drinks, chips and salsa delivered in a reasonable time. My tea was weak and not very sweet. The salsa had a little smoky flavor, but was so thin, it was a challenge to eat it with chips
My first entree was cheese puff with a cheap yellow cheese sauce, one bite was enough for me.
My chicken enchiladas verde, barrocho beans and rice and wife's spinach quesadillas with refried beans came soon afterwards.
The barricho beans were the best part of the meal. The enchaladas were the same that I could find at any average or below average place. My wife wasn't happy with her meal either.
We waited for a reasonable time for the ticket, finally I had to approach our waitress at another table to request it.
We love good Mexican food, and we frequently eat at Mexican restaurants at home and on the road.
Just based on our experience, I would not recommend...
Read moreAMAZING and VERY Reasonably priced! Went, with my family, this past weekend. The fajita mix, with chicken, steak and bacon (yes, bacon) was just as amazing as I remembered.
Years ago, when I came to town, they ordered this. I never forgot how incredible it was. This time, we chose to dine in.
Their flour tortillas were freshly made. So soft and incredible, that I think I could have eaten those by themselves!
The fajita mix, with bacon was everything I remembered. We got enough for 3 people and it was a HUGE platter! Would feed, at minimum, 4 people, if not 5. Entire meal, with drinks, was only $41. That is outstanding and I couldn't have bought ingredients and cooked it for that. With the cost of food and employees, these days, I was extremely impressed.
The service was just as amazing. Friendly and attentive. I always say treat them how you would want to be treated. It goes a long way. Just a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back!...
