This place had come up as a "suggested" restaurant for us to try, so we ventured out to give it a try. Be aware that this is not a "table service" restaurant, but order & pay at the register and then you are served at your table or booth. First my wife's order and experience, she ordered a mocha Southern Frost (espresso, milk and ice blended) to drink. She then wanted an omelet which they don't have, so she went with 2 eggs. She wanted them over easy, but was told she could only get them scrambled or over hard. This is what I meant above about egg cooking limitations, if they can cook over hard then why not over easy? Is this because of willingness or skill? Just seemed odd that she couldnt get her eggs over easy in a breakfast place. Then she added toast and a side of bacon. She absolutely loved the Southern Frost coffee, except it came with whipped cream which was not explained or listed on the menu. She would have preferred to not have the whipped cream but didn't want them to remake it. The eggs were scrambled well, toast was perfectly toasted and the bacon was not quite crispy enough to her liking (her fault as she didn't ask for it extra crispy). The toast was "dry" meaning no butter or margerine, again, another unusual serving but not an unheard of thing. But when she asked for butter, margerine was what she received and butter was not even offered. Lastly, the bacon. I described how it was cooked earlier and that was on her, but the side was 2 pieces. And these were not thick cut pieces, but very thin pieces. We've been to alot of places and that is the smallest side order either of us has ever seen. Again, the size of the portion seems small for a breakfast place. Lastly, all 3 items ordered a la carte totaled right at $10, but while eating we noticed there is a "build your own breakfast" platter on the menu that is $9.99. She could've ordered her 3 items and gotten potatoes or grits too for the same price. Why didn't our server bring that to our attention? We had explained that this was our first visit when we were ordering. This little gesture would've gone a long way to add to our experience. Now, my order. I went for the Saturday special of chicken but was told they were out as Dorian had disrupted their schedule and distribution, so I understand and went with the fried pork chop sandwich with a side of mac & cheese and green beans. First off, the sandwich was freaking awesome! I mean the chipotle mayo is the perfect touch to the moist but crispy pork chop. The sweetness of the bun is the piece to the puzzle that makes the whole sandwich amazing! Now the mac & cheese is not just a mac & cheese, but a melty, cheesy, gooey and cheesy (did I say that already?) cup of golden amazingness! There's more than cheese in that there mac & cheese! I know there is paprika, but unsure of the other ingredients making this one of the best I've ever had. Period. Always get the mac & cheese as a side and, honestly, I wish this was an entree to itself. HINT. Lastly, I ordered the green beans, but was mistakenly given baked beans which are so much more than just baked beans. They had a sweetness and savory element that put them over the top. Did I mention the chunks of ground beef IN the baked beans? No? Oh my. This is what my mom used to make and called it BBQ Beans. It tasted like my childhood in a cup. This is another side that could be pulled off as an entree. HINT HINT. I will wrap this up by saying, we will be back against my wife's reluctance. We like to give every place at least 2 trys before we call it quits. Also, my wife is a picky eater and she just didn't get the desired meal this time, so we have to come back to see if she does. Me? I would come back until I was treated badly, which I can never imagine would happen here, or I got a bad/wrong meal. Again I don't see that happening either. I'm much more of a "foodie" so having said all of that, I recommend going and eating here. Ask questions as you order to make sure you understand what you are getting.

I'll start with the service. The cashier was so nice as well as one of the servers. They checked on me while I was waiting for my food and I overheard them making sure others were ok. There was a lady who seemed to be the owner she was so nice. Asking me if I needed anything while I waited. Granted I did wait about 10 mins but that wasn't an issue for me and as I said I was being checked on. Now the food. I ordered the loaded fries that I saw on their social media. And they were amazing!! They had cheesy grits, jalapenos and bacon. I loved it. Nothing left.i also ordered the zucchini bread, maple bacon muffin and the house kool aid. That kool aid is something else. Like it was so good. The zucchini bread was great. The maple bacon muffin was a bit dry but I'll warm it up and see if that makes a difference. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.the 🔥🔥✌🏾

Maybe I went at a bad time or something I've heard alot of good things about this place so I wanted to try it. I placed my order online even saw they had a ten percent discount (neat!) I go to process my order and its more than It showed me on the previous screen. Look at the receipt im automatically charged for a tip. No problem I wish you would have gave me that option but whatever. Go to pickup my order app said it was ready but it wasn't I had to wait 5 minutes they servers were really nice so it was no big deal to wait. Got my food and received 2 small dried up pieces of pork chops the Mac and cheese tasted old. The yams weren't cooked all the way , the cornbread was great and the collards were okay. I don't write reviews. I'm usually a person who eats what they are given and is happy but y'all calling y'all selves "soul food" there was no soul in it.

I spent $18 on a chicken sandwich basket with a drink and this is the food I received . No shade, just disappointed due to the fact I've had breakfast inside this place amazing and portions amazing. This is not it ! ** follow up since the business responded ugly . they got my name wrong and I clearly stated i was not throwing shade. It was a drive thru order so no I wasnt staring my food down while driving home . I trusted the restaurant due to how breakfast was but since you wanna be rude like its not acceptable for yall to mess up every now and then take criticism and move forward the chicken was dry my dog didn't even entertain it !! Good luck fighting demons.
