Burrito Shak — Restaurant in North Carolina

We have dined at Burrito Shak for the last two years, mainly in Surf City, but we have frequented the Jacksonville location several times, as well as, the newest location in Sneads Ferry, NC.... EVERY Saturday, like clock work, we make our way to the Shak in Surf City for a damn slammin' supper!!!

Tonight we're in Jacksonville. Their food at all 3 locations ALWAYS hits the spot. Just enough spice to keep the man happy and less for me is best. The people are always chipper, smiling and very welcoming as soon as we walk in the door.

The atmosphere is casual and chill. The restaurant is kept clean by the busy employees bussing tables and sweeping floors.

The line runs extremely efficient with dedicated employees who work hard to get you in, get your food made, and get you seated to enjoy your meal.

Hands down, the BEST go-to for any night, or day, or brunch.

Their line offers regular tomatoes (also have a pico mix) that you cannot find at their competitor... I know, I tried and I won't ever go back there!

And, the have yummy Oatmeal Raisin cookies that are fresh made.

Lots of new faces in Jacksonville tonight. Shout out to Joey in Surf City! Sorry we won't get to see you tomorrow as we have a birthday party and I am off work.

I had my first-ever visit to Burrito Shak recently, and it definitely won't be my last, thanks in large part to the incredible service I received from Nick. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with a friendly smile and genuine enthusiasm that made me feel instantly welcome.

As a first time customer, I wasn’t sure what to order, but Nick was more than happy to walk me through the menu. They asked a few questions about what I liked, made thoughtful suggestions, and even recommended trying the Shak Burrito with house chicken and Boom Boom sauce — an immediate add to my fav list! He also suggested getting the cilantro-lime rice and chipotle ranch on the side for extra kick. Spot on!

What really stood out was how Nick took the time to explain all the customizable options without rushing or overwhelming me. You could tell he genuinely enjoys helping people have a great experience, which is rare these days. He even checked in after I sat down to make sure everything was perfect.

I stopped by Burrito Shak in Jacksonville for lunch, and I have to say—this place seriously impressed me. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made right in front of me. I ordered a Shak Bowl with grilled chicken, rice, black beans, pico, and their house-made cilantro-lime sauce… absolutely delicious.

What really stood out though was the service. Jennisey, who was working the line, was amazing! Super friendly, efficient, and really patient when I was being indecisive about my toppings. She made great recommendations without rushing me, and you could tell she genuinely cared about getting everything just right.
