I’ll preface this by saying that the food at Sr. Ceviche is tasty and the presentation is wonderful. We’ve been going to eat there for a while and after they expanded we were happy for them. The servers have always been attentive and quick to address your concerns. The restaurant is now more spacious and clean with lights that really clean up the ambiance of the space. There’s even a big sign up on the wall that you can take selfies in front of. I would say Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Now I will get into the nit picky parts of the review and state why I gave the scores I did. Again this is not picking and this won’t necessarily stop you from having a good meal and a good time. For the food some of the flavors have been watered down a bit but still have good taste. This may be due to rising costs or catering to American palates I’m not sure but the flavors are still close to what you would get if you went to Peru so still recommend. Service is 3.5 because I still believe the servers are good but they may be experiencing some growing pains. There has been occasions on which my food has come out when the rest of my party was done eating. The servers have been there to let me know estimated times of my food arriving but nonetheless I come to a restaurant hungry so hangry is around the corner. Lastly this is the one that really stood out to me and that’s ambiance. As this is a Peruvian restaurant I expect to feel more immersed in the culture. The restaurant is fairly “clinical” it is mostly white with some pictures strewn about. So you can tell the restaurant is clean but also looks like a doctor’s office. Also the music played is like smooth jazz versions of American Pop songs, there’s nothing wrong with that but I didn’t come here for that. I could get that listening experience at a mall food...
Read moreI don't know where to start. First of all, I have been to this location so many times, and every time, I made sure to bring a friend to introduce to our wonderful Peruvian cuisine. That's how much I really liked this new spot. Until my last visit. My last experience was so disappointing that I felt the necessity to leave this review. After eating another great Ceviche dish, we ordered Ocopa. I don't know how to describe it, but what we were served was not Ocopa. It tasted like a cream made out of an instant package and water down. When I expressed my disappointment to our waitress, she said ok. No opologies or anything. I didn't want to leave my friend who was eating Peruvian food for the first time with that bad taste, so I ordered causa de pollo. When we got the causa, I knew something was not right. The potatoes were not right. The flavor was also not what a cause should taste like. Overall, we were super disappointed. I told our waitress the same thing, and she asked if I wanted to talk to the chef. I said yes, please. Once the chef came out, he was honest with me and said that the assistant was the one who made the causa and not him. I explained that what we were served was not causa because I was served causa before in the same location, and it was nowhere near what we got. The chef did not charge us for the causa and promised to make one himself before we left. I am just disappointed because if I didn't know any better, I would have been left with the impression that that's how Peruvian food tasted like, and I would have just paid for it. The version the chef made for us at the end was legit and what I was expecting. Now I know that when the chef isn't there, we most likely won't get the quality of food we expect. I am left with hesitant to recommend this location, and I don't know if I'll...
