I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Sr Ceviche Jacksonville! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant had a vibrant and lively ambiance that made me feel right at home. But what truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Ceasar, our waiter. Ceasar went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and had a genuine passion for the food and the restaurant. Ceasar's recommendations were spot-on, and he guided us through the menu with expertise. He took the time to explain each dish in detail, and his enthusiasm was contagious. It was evident that he truly cared about our satisfaction and enjoyment. The food at Sr Ceviche Jacksonville was out of this world. Every dish was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. From the ceviche to the seafood paella, every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, adding to the overall dining experience. The staff at Sr Ceviche Jacksonville were friendly and efficient, creating a seamless dining experience. The attention to detail and the commitment to providing excellent service was evident throughout the entire evening. I cannot recommend Sr Ceviche Jacksonville enough, and a large part of that recommendation goes to Ceasar, who made our dining experience truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience with incredible food and exceptional service, look no further than Sr Ceviche Jacksonville, and be sure to ask for Ceasar as your waiter. You won't be disappointed!

Yesterday, I visited Sr Cebiche in San Jose Blvd in Jacksonville. I had a chicha morada that didn’t taste as fresh and not sweet enough. ($5) My husband got a beer (crystal for $7) We both got the classic cebiche. The waiter gave us option of 3 fish. I ordered mero (grouper)and my husband mahi mahi. The classic ceviche was $14 each in the menu specified. In the check, it was added $8 each dish, so in reality was $22 each dish. Look at pictures. The waiter never said that was extra. I thought it was a choice of different fish. So total was$ 56 + plus tax ( also tip was separate) I thought the waiter should have come and asked how was my drink or explain about the extra$8 per dish. The pictures shows the smallest size of sweet potato and a few scattered corn. I thought it was overpriced. More than $60 for 2 cebiches, a beer and a chicha morada. As a real Peruvian I visit different places and I can say that the taste was not too bad, but you need to train your staff to explain about extra prices and add it in the menu as well. Add more sweet potato and corn in a cob even if it’s small.

SCRUMPTIOUS, will be back for sure. For the appetizer, I tried out the Pulpo Anticuchado, which was two octopus tentacles, grilled wonderfully with a slight chew but also still soft. It was served with big pieces of corn and potato (?) on a hot plate. For my entree, I had the Arroz con Mariscos. The arroz con mariscos was a creamy, buttery, and savory seafood dream. The texture of the rice was perfect and the seafood (squid, shrimp, mussels) were also cooked just right, where there is much softness left in it but there’s enough of a chew as well. The sauce itself in the dish was tasty (tomato based) and they added some cheese that paired well. My companion had the Lomo Saltado that was pretty good! The beef was tender and had a grilled flavor. His only qualm is that the sauce was a lil too salty and it only had one layer of flavor: soy sauce. But still, overall, he was pretty happy with it! As a drink, I ordered a chicha morada and it was refreshing! Definitely coming back to try more delicious food! Their fried fish dish looks INSANELY good

I’ll preface this by saying that the food at Sr. Ceviche is tasty and the presentation is wonderful. We’ve been going to eat there for a while and after they expanded we were happy for them. The servers have always been attentive and quick to address your concerns. The restaurant is now more spacious and clean with lights that really clean up the ambiance of the space. There’s even a big sign up on the wall that you can take selfies in front of. I would say Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Now I will get into the nit picky parts of the review and state why I gave the scores I did. Again this is not picking and this won’t necessarily stop you from having a good meal and a good time. For the food some of the flavors have been watered down a bit but still have good taste. This may be due to rising costs or catering to American palates I’m not sure but the flavors are still close to what you would get if you went to Peru so still recommend. Service is 3.5 because I still believe the servers are good but they may be experiencing some growing pains. There has been occasions on which my food has come out when the rest of my party was done eating. The servers have been there to let me know estimated times of my food arriving but nonetheless I come to a restaurant hungry so hangry is around the corner. Lastly this is the one that really stood out to me and that’s ambiance. As this is a Peruvian restaurant I expect to feel more immersed in the culture. The restaurant is fairly “clinical” it is mostly white with some pictures strewn about. So you can tell the restaurant is clean but also looks like a doctor’s office. Also the music played is like smooth jazz versions of American Pop songs, there’s nothing wrong with that but I didn’t come here for that. I could get that listening experience at a mall food...

I don't know where to start. First of all, I have been to this location so many times, and every time, I made sure to bring a friend to introduce to our wonderful Peruvian cuisine. That's how much I really liked this new spot. Until my last visit. My last experience was so disappointing that I felt the necessity to leave this review. After eating another great Ceviche dish, we ordered Ocopa. I don't know how to describe it, but what we were served was not Ocopa. It tasted like a cream made out of an instant package and water down. When I expressed my disappointment to our waitress, she said ok. No opologies or anything. I didn't want to leave my friend who was eating Peruvian food for the first time with that bad taste, so I ordered causa de pollo. When we got the causa, I knew something was not right. The potatoes were not right. The flavor was also not what a cause should taste like. Overall, we were super disappointed. I told our waitress the same thing, and she asked if I wanted to talk to the chef. I said yes, please. Once the chef came out, he was honest with me and said that the assistant was the one who made the causa and not him. I explained that what we were served was not causa because I was served causa before in the same location, and it was nowhere near what we got. The chef did not charge us for the causa and promised to make one himself before we left. I am just disappointed because if I didn't know any better, I would have been left with the impression that that's how Peruvian food tasted like, and I would have just paid for it. The version the chef made for us at the end was legit and what I was expecting. Now I know that when the chef isn't there, we most likely won't get the quality of food we expect. I am left with hesitant to recommend this location, and I don't know if I'll...
