Steady Coffee — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Steady is a coffee shop I’ve never even heard of and we found it randomly. It’s in a very good location in a mini shopping center with other businesses. The inside is very clean and spacious with various types of seating. They even have a high chair for children. That was a plus for our little one.

It was very loud which was the only downside. But the employees apologized saying it usually isn’t like that. There were a ton of people for some reason, all in the back of the place and they were loud. This was around 8:30am on a Saturday.

The employees are very nice here and they get to know you on a first name basis. They’re extremely sociable and friendly.

The menu is perfect with various types of coffees, seasonal coffees. I had a cappucino with simple syrup and almond milk. Wife had latte with vanilla and almond milk. Both were excellent. Perfect balance of flavor and coffee. They serve house made syrups.

We tried the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and the blueberry muffin. The sandwich was fantastic. The muffin was pretty good but not the best we’ve had. The texture was different. Almost not as soft and fluffy like we typically have in other muffins.

Food is from Brew, which, if you didn’t know, has amazing kolaches. Staff is super friendly and kind. Atmosphere is chill and productive with lots of plugs for laptops or phones.

Now let’s talk about coffee. There’s coffee and then there’s sugar - I’ll let you figure out which company is just straight sugar. This place sells coffee. It’s not super sweet and still delicious; I can tell they work hard to balance all flavors for each drink they make.

It’s currently fall, so of course I want a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but I don’t want to get a cavity in the process. This is the place for just that.

So if you’re looking for coffee that doesn’t cause irrevocable dental damage but still satisfies those caffeine cravings, then look no farther...

I had a wonderful experience picking up a cappuccino and trying two of their pastries. The coffee was decent, it was slightly sour, and pastries good but I just wish they had some croissants! Also, really pretty coffee art! I kind of ruined it a little after I put some sugar in it oops. The two sweet ladies at the front are very professional and helped me decide on what to get in addition to asking about my day. The atmosphere is delightful, calming, comforting, and pleasant. It is a perfect place to get some work done on a laptop because of the atmosphere.
