Fishweir Park — Attraction in Jacksonville

If you enjoy the outdoors, Fishweir Park is a perfect place to go and has a myriad of options for just about anyone. Nestled within a beautiful neighborhood, the tree lined park has two full length basketball courts (with four goals on each court and lights for nighttime play). It has a large, modern playground for children. There is a softball/Little League baseball field on the premises, fully equipped with a clay infield as well as dugouts and stands for on-lookers. Inside Fishweir is a large, open-area field, which stretches a few hundred yards each direction. The field is perfect for playing with your dog(s), picnics, football, frisbee, running etc. Lastly, there are strategically placed benches for those who'd like to rest, watch or read. LOVE this park! Every time we've been here its been quiet, only a hand full of people (if any.) Most of the children's equipment is well shaded so its not in the direct sun.
