Mattress Firm Roosevelt Boulevard — Hotel in Jacksonville

December 26, 2019 3:30 PM. Short but bad experience. For starters, there was only one salesman there who was with another party prior to my arrival. My self and the other people were looking at Tempur-Pedic mattresses. The salesman apologized for being the only one there and was struggling answering questions for both of us and showing the different models. At first he was more than willing to show models and answer my questions but once he found out that the other person with me was my brother and not my husband he changed his attention completely to the other party.

Issue #1: While I was looking at a display of the different mattress materials he moved the display out of my reach so that he could show the other customer.

Issue #2: as soon as the other party said “we’ll be paying cash, we don’t want to finance” The salesman instantly changed his attention to completely to the other party.

Issue #3: Once we got onto the topic of the warranty claim I had submitted on my current mattress, he began cutting me off while talking and motioning that he needed to get back to the other party.

Very obvious that he was only looking for his next commission instead of providing customer service to everyone. The fact that he was the only employee was not to my concern, but rather that fact that you could easily tell he was money hungry and not considerate of my time whatsoever was the issue. I’m sure that had I had gone into the store with my husband he would have given me the same level of attention as the other party.

I limit my use of Google reviews for the absolute best or worst experiences with businesses… We had been feeling the need to replace our bed for some time. I researched a bit online, and saw that mattresses and bases have evolved since our last bed purchase many years ago. We went to the Mattress Firm, where we met our mattress/sleep expert, Beth. She listened to our needs and based on that input, she directed us to try various mattresses. She was very knowledgeable on the specifics of each mattress. She was patient with us as we tried several mattresses over and over, around the store.

She answered every question we had. We had a lot of questions about adjustable bases and Beth was ready with information to help us decide. We really didn’t intend to buy a mattress and adjustable base that day, but we were really confident that Beth got our needs nailed down and we were satisfied that we could make the purchase.

The purchase was easy, taking only several minutes. The bed was delivered in two days. The delivery was on time. The delivery crew was excellent! The base arrived with a bit of cosmetic damage but it was set up with instructions to call the store. A quick call was placed to Beth. She got the base replaced in two days!

I had gotten a bed from a friend but I was missing a couple screws for it. While trying to search the internet to find what size hardware I saw that this particular bed was sold at mattress firm. I called the mattress firm location on Roosevelt boulevard and spoke with Rashada. I told her how I had not purchased the bed from mattress firm but got it from a friend and had no screws nor knew what size or type I would need. Rashada was so willing to help me! While on the phone for a few, she went through her system to find the specs on this specific bed. I could not find the hardware list online anywhere! She then sent the entire instruction manual to my email!!!! The next mattress I purchase will be from this kind woman. She went above and beyond. I can’t thank this kindly enough. I asked her if she had any type of cash app or Venmo bc I wanted to give her a little tip for being so kind! She insisted it was not necessary and that she was happy to help. I think she is a rare breed. She also informed me she was the store manager. Idk who gets these reviews when customers post them, but whoever does needs to give this woman some kind of raise and pat on the back. I will now always recommend mattress firm on Roosevelt Blvd bc of Rashada. Not many people or managers who will go above and beyond like this woman. Thanks so much...
